The Feeling Stick Meme

the feeling stick
┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ a meme

Passive-aggressiveness, begone! For what you now hold in your hands embues you -- yes, you! -- with the power to unapologetically bare your soul to the world. You've got The Feeling Stick, and you can't give it away until you share a little something about yourself. Didn't ask for The Stick? The Stick don't care. The Stick only listens. So unburden those emotional woes, air out that dirty laundry, and clean the skeletons out of the closet. Things are about to get real. Real feelingy.

→ Post a comment with your character's name and fandom.
→ Tag others -- feel to roll a number between 01 and 08 for a scenario, or...
→ Have certain things you want to share with those you tag? Don't feel obligated to roll! Prompts are there for inspiration; pick which one fits your character best, if you prefer, or go with none.
→ Feel free to each have a stick, or to pass the one back and forth.
→ No matter what, play nice! Don't make me get even more grade school on your patootie.

┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ the scenarios
Pinocchio's Nose: Been keeping secrets and telling lies? It's time to come clean. Don't even think about trying to bullshit your way out of this one, buddy: the power of the feeling stick is mysterious and ancient, and by the wood of the cherry tree, you shall not and cannot tell a lie.

Cupid's Arrow: Got the warm fuzzies? Well they're no good all locked away like that! Confess your feelings for the one you love, or confide in an acquaintance. Take it platonic and let a friend or family member know how much you cherish them. Either way, you're feeling might affectionate right about now.

The Ugly Stick: Let's figure out what's at the root of all this anger. Is there ever anything you've kept yourself from saying to spare someone's feelings? Do away with the niceties, and maybe venting (or whacking someone on the head) will solve all your problems. Or... make them worse.

Little Blue: What makes you sad? Don't keep it to yourself anymore. All those pent-up negative emotions are ready to spill over. Bad memories, painful regrets, and all the angst in between. If you weren't bummed out before, you may be now. It's okay to cry.

Got Wood: So much shame surrounding the subject of sex, it's no wonder it gets its own stick. Hidden fantasies, past transgressions, kinks you didn't even know you had. Let no lust go unliberated.

Travel Size: You've got something to say, but keep it short, yeah? See just how softly you can lay a blow, how harshly you can dish out an insult, or how romantically you can confess your love in seven words or less.

Fuck This!: Uh-oh. Someone hasn't been a good sport. The feeling stick rests in pieces in your palms -- you've broken it, intentionally or not, and now you will pay for violating the sanctity of nonjudgmental sharing. You know what happens to people who break the feeling stick, don't you? They're cursed to never share again. Well done, now your voice is stuck in a shell around a sea witch's neck... or something. Better figure out some other way to express yourself and break the curse, else you'll be trapped in mute repression forever.

Ol' Reliable: The default feeling stick. Whatever's on your mind, bringing you down or lifting you up, it's time to let it out. Essentially the wildcard option. Talk about anything and/or everything!

Stolen from here.

Molly-

[He can't stay long. He's a dead man, after all, and his train departs in two minutes or less. The safest way to get out of London right now.]
wealldosillythings: (Sherlock)

Oooh

Yes? What is it? What do you need? [She knows he's in a hurry, and she's fairly sure she's done all she can to help him, so what is it?]

There are precious few people in the world who have treated me as kindly as you have. If I didn't always respond- appropriately- that's a reflection on my character, not yours.

Oh.

Well...thank you, I think? O-Or you're welcome? [She's not sure what to say here]

I mean, I sort of know that's how you are, a-and I try not to hold it against you... [Except that one time at Christmas. That was...pretty bad.]

I'm trying to get better about it.

[He doesn't 'try' to do anything for very many people at all.]

Thank you for saving my life, Molly Hooper.

Really? Wow, that's--

[And then the thank you catches her off-guard. Because it's actually honest. She stumbles for a moment to respond] You're...You're welcome, Sherlock. A-Anytime.

Huh? [She's totally forgotten about the train by this point. Now she wishes he really didn't have to go] Oh...yes.

Please be safe, Sherlock.

Take care, Molly Hooper.

[And he's gone.]
