"Yes..." she said it weakly but she meant it. "I'm a little sensitive? I guess. It's just, um... you know. Touch compensating for lack of sight and I wasn't prepared for touching." She realized as she said it that she wasn't against touching but not when she was sleepy and disoriented.

"Hmm. Sorry." His fingers fell away from her, though he didn't move away from her. His arm was still slung around her.

"You didn't know. It's okay," she said that softly. She realized that they were still snuggled in against each other and she didn't further that but she stayed close anyway.

"Are you always this warm?"

"Yeah." People sometimes thought he had a fever, especially if he was angry or had other reasons for being worked up. His temperature was closely connected to his emotional state. It came with being what he was.

He was definitely warmer than most people should be. She wasn't even sure how that was possible actually. Noel didn't actually care that much though. She just wanted to stay near him because he was comfortable.

Warren didn't mind that. In fact, he was all for it, not being one to say no to a a moment of physical contact with someone he happened to like, even if it was only something like this.

It seemed that they had come to a comfortable place between them. She liked being touched and there was a lot that she missed about being near someone. The fact that he was okay with this was good for her too.

He dozed off a while longer before he woke up for real. And she was still right there in his arms. This... was kind of interesting. Was she asleep? he craned his neck to look down at her.

The second it became quiet again and she was used to his heat, Noel began to drift again and she did end up falling asleep. Her arms were tucked up between them against his chest, head resting on the pillow, but close to his shoulder. She was more comfortable here with him than she expected to be and that showed since she was breathing steadily in a quiet sleep

She was asleep, and Warren found himself with an opportunity to watch her completely relaxed and unguarded, and unbothered by everyday events. He wondered if she was aware of just how beautiful she was. But, her being blind, she probably wasn't.

He softly brushed his fingers over her brow, and then settled back down again with his arm around her waits, waiting for her to wake up again.

She hadn't seen her own face for thirteen years and a lot had changed since then. She didn't wear make-up unless someone else put it on her and she kept her hair cropped in a pixie cut because it was just easier to deal with that way. She didn't know what she looked like. Not really at least. Besides, her version of beauty was different. It depended on what she could feel and the more prominent the features, the more attractive they were to her.
 
That touch to her brow is what stirred her. No surprise there. She didn't come out of her sleep immediately, but when she did, it wasn't in a panic like she had before. She knew where she was now and she knew who was with her. "Are you awake?" she asked.

"Mmhmm," he hummed in affirmation. Then, just to mess around: "You snore." She actually didn't.

Noel gasped and pulled back a little. She turned red, blushing down her neck. "I do not!"

"Yeah, you do." He grinned. "Or, well... Actually, you don't."

"You are so mean!" she batted at him lightly. This was te first time she hadn't tried to hide her face from him even though she was still bright red. "You are a bed hog," she retaliated. Though it couldn't be true since she hadn't noticed until this morning.

"Guilty as charged." he was perfectly aware of this. If he shared a bed with someone, he had a tendency to move closer and closer to this person. Now, since she was ever so lightly hitting him, he felt free to poke her in the ribs.

That did startle her and Noel let out a high pitched squeak as she squirmed away from him a little. She never shared a be with someone. Or at least not in a long time and she hadn't been expecting him to be as cuddly as he was. She was realizing she didn't know what to expect with him. So she tried to grab his wrist to keep him from poking her again.

He decided to not be mean, and kept from poking her again. He just laughed instead, and relaxed back on the bed, not pulling his wrist out of her grip.

He laughed at her and then she laughed lightly too. He didn't pull his wrist away and she seemed to remember just then that he said he had tattoos. She turned over his hand, palm up and then laying back, relaxed as well, she smiled, "Show me where your tattoos are," she instructed. "Here," she offered her other hand to him, "Trace them with my fingers."

"You can probably feel them," he said, taking her hand and putting the tips of her fingers against the tattoo. "Here. They're a little bit elevated. Sort of like smoother scar tissue, almost."

She carefully felt across his skin, noticing the subtle raise of the parts that were inked and the parts that weren't. For the next few minutes, she diligently outlined the slightly raised skin, getting and idea of what they were like, feeling it out and noting it mentally. "Huh..." she flattened her palm over the inside of his wrist for a moment. "Did it hurt?"

"Not too bad. The third one was worse." So far he had only mentioned the two on his wrists. But yeah, the Phoenix on his back had been worse, though mainly because of how large it was.

"Third? What's that one?" she hadn't let go of his wrist yet, she was still tracing the minutely raised skin on the inside of his wrist, fascinated by the way it felt and that someone would subject themselves to pain like that.

"It's on my back. And, tell you what. If you can figure out what it is, I'll owe you dinner."

She smiled at the challenge and let go of his wrist. "Fine, roll over," she nudged his side a little to indicate that he should roll over faster than what he was doing, which was nothing.
