ANGST MEME

Sometimes we all want to play some angst and see just how far our characters will fall.

- Post your characters, name and series in the subject along with any preferences.

1. just depressed.

Things are tough, you're feeling worn out, or whatever the case, you're depressed. You need help or someone else thinks you do anyway.

2. abandoned.

You were left behind by everyone you hold dear and now you're forced to see how well they've adjusted, how happy they all are while you're screaming inside.

3. sick.

Cold, flu, or something even worse, all you can do is lay back and let someone take care of you.

4. fight.

You've been fighting nonstop with the other person and it just keep escalating.

5. break up.

You're being broken up with and they won't reconsider... Damn.

6. separated.

For some reason, you've been separated from the other person for a long time.

7. kidnapped.

You've been held captive for how long now? Maybe they've been torturing you even, using your blood to write ransom notes, threatening to cut off fingers to send next, etc. Rescue is on the way though, right?

8. beaten up.

Just because someone didn't like you or maybe they wanted something you had, whatever the case is, you're coming home sporting some nasty wounds and bruises.

9. jealousy.

You just have this undeniable jealousy suddenly and you need to let it out.

10. cheated on.This goes beyond just suspicion and you have full on proof of what your lover has done. How do you handle it?

11. apathetic.

You're not sad, you're not happy, you just... don't feel much anymore. The sparkle of life has gone right out of you and you're just going through the motions now.

12. addicted.

Drugs, alcohol, whatever your drug of choice is, you can't fight the draw and you can't draw yourself out of the hole, but the other person is going to try.

13. bad romance.

You know this isn't good for either of you, but you can't stop now.

14. fear.

Nightmares, the feeling someone is following you, etc. You can't shake the feeling.

15. insanity.

You're seeing things and hearing them, waking up only to realize you've done things you don't remember or you're in a place you weren't before. You're losing it and you don't know what to do.

16. guilt.

It's eating you up inside and you have to tell someone about it now. You want to be punished and you won't take no for an answer.

17. loss

You've lost something dear to you.

18. wild card.

Yes, but we have money, Anders. If I have to buy food and force you to eat I'll do it.

[ She shakes her head, leaning up and kissing him gently. ]

I'll always worry about you.

Too much money will attract too much attention, love. We need to balance your assets and our need to stay hidden.

[Though Anders suspects he will be the biggest problem they have to overcome. He's the one will a volatile spirit of Vengeance inside him in the midst of a brewing war.]

I suppose. I'll still be watching you like a - [ she smirks ] hawk.

[ She runs her fingers through what's left of his hair before she ponders her own. ]

I should cut mine... Change my sword, get some new armour.

[The horrible pun startles a laugh out of him. He hasn't done that in awhile.]

I will sneak back to Darktown and retrieve my Warden armor. You would do better to grow your hair as it would be very different from your short hair. It will take longer however. What you do about weapons and armor is up to you. I know nothing of what a warrior needs.

Are you sure you don't want me to go? I don't want you getting caught.

[ She purses her lips, running her fingers through her hair. ]

It'll get in the way, but I suppose you're right.

You're not stealthy, love. I know the secret ways back in. It will be alright.

[He leans in and kisses her forehead.]

You'll look beautiful with long hair. I can teach you how to braid it so it won't bother you.

I can be stealthy when I want to be.

[ ... Okay, perhaps not. There's a reason she relied on Varric to talk her out of trouble. ]

Thank you. Do you like girls with long hair, Anders?

[ Teasing; she can't help it. ]

[He looks incredibly skeptical about that. He's seen her sneak around and it's not stealthy.]

You could have no hair and you'd still be my love.

[ She wrinkles her nose a little. ]

I'd look ridiculous with no hair, Anders.

No, you would still be beautiful. I wouldn't say it's your best look, but you'd be lovely.

Flattery won't get you anywhere, Anders.

[ She still gives him a kiss, though. ]

I'm not trying to get anywhere. I'm where I want to be.

... That's exactly what I mean.

[ It's obviously working in his favour, seeing as she's tugging him closer with a smile, fingers stroking through what's left of his hair. ]

Are you enjoying that dear?

[He glances up as if he can see her fingers in his hair.]

I am, actually. Do you mind? Your hair is rather soft.

No, I don't mind.

[He was worried she might miss his longer hair. It's a drastic change.]

[ She smiles, leading him back into the cave. Settling, she sheds her armour, looking almost mournful. ]

I'll throw it into the sea before we leave.

You could keep parts of it. Take the fur from the collar there and maybe the gauntlets. Those aren't terrible unique.

[He doesn't like to see her so sad. It's just armor and she should throw it away but he feels bad for her.]

Of course you'd want the fur, love.

[ She sighs, taking the fur off and checking over the gauntlets with a frown. ]

Maybe I could find some use for them...

I prefer feathers, thank you but you do look lovely in fur.

You understand armor better than I. What do you think you can use them for? Besides armor. That seems to be the obvious answer.

Maybe if there's some dirty work we need done... Either way, I can make them work for any new set I buy.

[ She undoes the latches and laces on the rest of her armour, though, letting the chestpiece fall to the ground. ]

The armor on and Anders is staring a bit.]

I'm sure you can figure out something. You're... very good with armor.

[ She catches his look and grins a little, stretching in her cotton shirt. ]

I am. I'll work it out, somehow.

You're teasing me, aren't you?

[He didn't miss her grin. He recognized that look.]
