Asch - Tales of the Abyss

[ He's almost certain this is some kind of joke.

Asch has spent the past few weeks on the mend from the wound Van dealt him and helping to lower the Outer Lands. He’s been slower to bounce back than he expected, and his delayed recovery meant that the Dark Wings had gone in search of additional employment. Since it involves Lorelei, Asch is certain he needs help figuring things out, but there are very few people he's willing to ask for help.

He’s standing in front of an inn in Grand Chokmah, decorated to the nines for some kind of romantic celebration. Some kind of festival was going on within for which the Dark Wings would provide entertainment - a grand contest where couples would prove their deep love and understanding of each other through various events, which needed to be complete before Asch could send his associates out to help him search for information. Mounted in the window is the grand prize - some kind of fontech. It didn’t look like any technology Asch was familiar with, though York had insisted it was some kind of engine. It was far too small to be of use to the Albiore - perhaps it could fit in a carriage, or at least something bigger than Dist’s chair.

Asch pinches the bridge of his nose and groans. ]
