Saddies from baddies

THE WORST THING TO HAPPEN TO MEme

Finally, a meme with a clear-cut answer to an easy question! You've lived a good life - there should be only one, two minor tragedies to choose from.

...right?

HOW TO PLAY
- see the title.
- no, that's what's gonna happen.
- your character's biggest trauma, the worst thing to ever happen, is listed in the subject line.
- now everyone can comment on it. that'll be a healing experience..

Eheheh... heh... I guess mine's too similar to list, then. It'd seem a bit, uh... weird? Gauche? For the first two people here to list the same thing.

Well!

[Pleakley claps hands together awkwardly.]

It's surprisingly common, and it very much should not be!

Indeed. Fathers should be a positive and important influence.

Mother certainly could have used the help, that's for sure.

[Pleakley sighs.]

Mother did try her best.

Could've been worse, could have been better.

Sometimes I wonder if I would have lived up to Mother's expectations if my father had stayed... but probably not. If he left, he can't have been that good of a role model after all.

My father did not leave, he merely ignored us.

[Pleakley freezes up.]

Ah.

[Was that a social faux pas? That was a social faux pas, wasn't it? What would be polite to say? This already isn't a standard social situation--]

That sounds... rough?

You learn quickly to fend for yourself.

I guess you'd have to.

[Is it that much of a difference, then? Pleakley's too nervous to ask.]

I had my mother and my siblings, at least, although how she was able to care for three of us on her own I have no idea.

Mother tried. My brother is useless and my sister... she has her own children to care for.

Oh, is your sister much older than you?

[Pleakley assumes, given the context.]

A group of silly, little people spoiled all of my fun.

My drunk mother embarrassing me in front of everyone

[Felix tries to cover up the notice, a little too late.]

That's wrong. We should talk about times I crashed my car. Maybe the time I got a concussion, or Macau. Yeah, Macau was the worst ever.

[He lies.]
