Who'd have thought the sweet, local music teacher is secretly decked out in tattoos? under the influence - Most places won't work on someone who's clearly drunk, or high, or otherwise not in their right state of mind, but maybe this place is shadier than the rest. or bring your own - Your body, your canvas. giving a tattoo... the apprentice - Fresh-faced with a sketchbook full of doodles, you've been waiting your whole life for a chance to ink someone up. Let's hope it goes well! the master - This is your shop, with your name on the wall. People come from far and wide for a chance to get one of your world renown tattoos. magic!au - Your tattoos have a little bit more spice to them. Maybe it's something in the ink, or maybe this is an ability coming from you alone. Tattoos you give have power! dealer's choice - They've got no clue what they want, so it's time to come up with an idea together. If they really trust you, they might even leave this piece solely in your hands. basement shop - Not exactly above board, but people in your community know about this hobby of yours. [Tattooing ghosts is neither easy nor fun, but not totally impossible (iron needle + magicked iron oxide ink is the general consensus on how to make it work). He might have a couple himself, though good luck finding them or their meaning (unless you're Edwin of course).
But I can see him being one of the go-to guys for London's supernatural set to get tattooed, he likes tinkering with things and having a side job to the Detective business would keep him busy.]

Magical binding was a tricky thing to deal with, and Frankie didn't fully understand it. Which sucked, because he was still dealing with it despite the source of his binding having been destroyed a couple of years prior. By all rights, at least as far as Frankie felt, when he murdered the people who had bound him, his binding should have dissolved.

But it hadn't.

And two years later, it still lingered, marking his arms in the magical slavery he'd once been subjected to, and perhaps was still subject to.

So he did what research he could, and found a talented tattoo artist in the city who apparently knew his stuff when it came to magical tattoos, and also had appointment times available.

Somewhat nervously, he walked into the shop that morning, his long sleeves pulled down over his hands, even though the marks on his arms didn't start until just above his wrists. "Hello?" he called out into the seemingly empty shop. They were probably just out back, but still, Frankie's nerves rang tightly.

"Be right there." Henry called in response, coming around the corner with what was apparently a laundry basket full of soda propped against his hip, setting it down on top of the minifridge, apparently in the process of restocking it. He was wearing comfortable jeans and a t-shirt with the sleeves cut off, also worn into softness, it was a logo tee for the shop itself.

His hair was buzzed almost to the skin on the sides, close enough that the tattoo of the black widow spider behind his ear was visible, the rest of his hair tied back in a sleek braid.

He smiled easily as he stepped closer, offering a hand, "You must be my nine AM. Henry, it's nice to meet you." Mostly he was confident that this was, in fact, his scheduled client rather than a walk-in, because he'd never once gotten a walk-in before noon.

Frankie blinked a few times, trying not to react immediately to how attractive Henry was. He swallowed, pushed the impulse aside, and shook Henry's hand. He couldn't think about attraction or anything like that, not while he had what was potentially a ticking time bomb on his arms.

"Frankie. Nice to meet you. Internet said you're good with magical tattoos."

"And for once the internet is correct." He replied with a wink and a click of his tongue against the side of his teeth, "Curse-proofing and anti-hexes are usually my M.O., but I know how to work with other things, too. Possession-blocking is pretty common, but a lot of people can do that, as long as the linework's clean it doesn't need to be inherently magicked like the others do."

He cocked his head, then, "C'mon, have a seat." He moved towards the chair in the corner, "For most work I do a consultation appointment and then start the actual inking about a week later, give people time to really think about it, though sometimes it's pretty obvious people know exactly what they want, and I know with the magical ones time's sometimes of the essence." He wiggled his fingers, beckoning, "So lay it on me, what've you got in mind?"

"-- Because it'll look fucking sick, okay? I'll figure it out, they've got flash up all the time in these places. No, I don't need you to hold my hand I'm a big girl - fuck off. Call you back when I'm done."

Profanity aside, talking to her brother always made her smile if they weren't fighting and this wasn't a fight, just good-natured sibling ribbing.

She's got a small DEER dog with her. A little yorkie black as the void, not even as tall as her knee but antlers that stretch up and up and up in a smart little vest saying it's a service animal, and he's clearly well behaved and quiet sticking right next to her.

Why? I am delighted!

Randolph is setting up his workstation for the appointment when Ava walks in, and there's a moment of staring at her service hedgebeast, trying to think what to say, if anything, to her or it. It's a lot to take in, but it's hardly the first time he's seen one of the changelings in town walk into his shop.

Okay, wait, there's something he can say. "Lemme be formal about the questions. Is this a service animal? And if so, what tasks has it been trained to perform?" You know, the two questions the ADA allows businesses to ask of those with animals in vests.
