the meme for
O R I G I N A L C H A R A C T E R S
- Top levels in this meme are for original characters only! Canon characters may tag around as they please.
- Include some info about your character, or a link to their bio/stats page (especially if they are from an original universe as well). Want to bait the hook? Include a scene prompt or two!
- Anyone top-leveling is strongly encouraged to tag out too! Give what you hope to receive.
- YMMV. Don't be a jerk, and don't get discouraged.
- Respect your fellow creators and have fun!
PROMPTS
1. meet cute
You're bumping into each other for the first time! Are you being introduced by friends, or is it just happenstance? Are you in a coffee shop? On a college campus? At a bar? In the middle of an assassination attempt? The world is a wide and wonderful place.
2. romance
The sparks are flying. Don't let good chemistry go to waste.
3. conflict
Sometimes characters are gonna butt heads. That's some good drama right there. Mortal enemies? Or just can't agree on whether sandwiches should be cut horizontally or diagonally?
4. just texting
More of a format than a prompt in this case. Low pressure, low impact, perfect for voicetesting.
5. hurt/comfort
Whether new, assumed, and established CR, one of you is suffering and the other is here to help. Are your wounds mental, physical, or emotional?
6. the dirty one
Look. Sometimes you just wanna bone. No one's judging you. We're all filth here.
7. wildcard, obviously
(You grew a person from your own imagination, you don't need our help. Enjoy!)

Her sleep schedule is fucked to next Tuesday, so if you're looking for midnight calls/texts asking for help or moral support, she's your woman - 2am meetings at bars also work, 100% the kind of person you want in your court if you're prone to getting into trouble, would hide a body as long as the Thai food you get her in return is top notch. Open to shipping, but it'd need to be slow burn - friends, neighbours, fellow dog owners she met at the park, or colleagues are also so very welcome. She needs found family! She can be a little cold and withdrawn for a while after meeting her, but once she's sussed someone out and has warmed to them, she's a laugh. ]
Apollo | Inception OC | OTA
Variants: none yet
Storylines they're good for: Pretty much anything, honestly, because the fun thing about being an Inception character is that literally anything could just be a practice-run dream-scenario.
Maison + Urban Fantasy OC + OTA
Variants: None yet
Storylines they're good for: It's always fun to toss him into other time periods while still having the same job, co-worker shenanigans are fun, basically he's pretty versatile!
Dolly | Tron-verse OC | OTA
Variants: I've definitely tossed her into other universes, Star Wars, general cyberpunk dystopias, pretty sure I gave her a fantasy realms/D&D version at one point.
Storylines they're good for: Anywhere there's need for a waitress who may or may not be part of any local underground scene (in both the music and the resistance meanings) she'll fit right in!
Capricorn | OC | OTA
Variants: None yet
Storylines they're good for: All the Action Movie™ sterotype plots, but could AU her into fantasy world settings as well, gang of murder-hobos etc.
Maison - Modern Fairy Tale - OTA
Variants: None yet
Storylines they're good for: He could easily fit into X-Men or similar universes, but basically anywhere you've got a tragically sheltered kid who's now an adult trying to navigate his way in the world.
Zepar + OC + OTA
Variants: Being technically immortal means I've dumped him in various historical settings (though for much of the time he was trapped in a square mile of valley out in the desert) but also protecting folks in various apocalyptical settings (usually presiding over a valley sanctuary)
Storylines they're good for: You name it! He's a bartender, but that can lead to so many things. I usually let him play juicebox for vampires and he can see ghosts, and can usually pick other supernatural entities out of a crowd, but he's generally chill and not about to out anybody.
Adelia | Urban Fantasy OC | OTA
Variants: She's another one that I've played with historical settings on, and I've had her being tapped as a Slayer in the post-death, activate-them-all era of Buffy
Storylines they're good for: Action and adventure and all the variations thereof! But also sitting back and watching your more obsessive/more qualified cousins do things from the sidelines.
Torii | OC | OTA
Variants: I've had her as a stylist for Hunger Games AUs, a weird little shop owner/designer in Star Wars things (with a grandfather/great grandfather who might have been doing Darkside stuff) and even plopped her into Stranger Things with a mother who was a Norwegian aerobics instructor and a father who was part of a reasonably well-liked metal band.
Storylines they're good for: You need a weird college roommate? A weird fashion designer for a runway show/Met Gala/Some Other Event? Do you need some small items inexplicably stuck to another item? She's your girl!
Gabreel King + OC + OTA
Variants: He started out as a Firefly-'verse Companion (hence the username) who'd joined up with the Resistance and then went back to Companioning afterwards, but I've dropped him in other universes as well, works for Star Wars, D&D etc.
Storylines they're good for: Anywhere they've got boywhores he'll fit right in, that's basically it. But I'm always happy to plottier things with him.
Henry Stillman | X-Verse OC | OTA
Variants: Sometimes he's a vampire, sometimes he's a bard, generally he's a full-on rockstar, but sometimes he's still up and coming.
Storylines they're good for: Anything, really, musicians with powers are ridiculously easy to place.
Shaundra | Were-leopard OC | OTA
Variants: None currently
Storylines they're good for: Any sort-of real-world will work, but I'm happy to toss her into D&D/Fantasy type universes, you know, basically anywhere a were-leopard waitress with three older brothers would fit in.
