Working in a hospital, even the study library of one, was an incredible change of pace in his long life. Nevertheless, it wasn’t always smooth sailing. He was more than happy to help when an extra strong hand in ED was needed, but today struck a limit within him and he became overstimulated, overwhelmed. Then a particularly vile patient alluded to some unpleasant events with an underage girl, and when Adam called him out on it, he unloaded verbally on him. As a result, Adam nearly choked the man to death before his coworkers managed to snap him out of it.

Adam, realizing what he had done, retreated to a dark corner in the deepest part of the hospital.

Jack, who had been on break at the time of the incident, otherwise he might have gotten through to his mate sooner, was filled in and told where the big guy bolted to.

Crus had caught him coming out of Trauma One, stripping off the paper gown and gloves. There had been a belligerent patient and Adam had fled. His team could handle the floor for a bit and Jack walked as quickly as he could down the darkened hallway, knowing right where Adam would be.

"Sweetheart?" Gently he raps on the doorjamb. "It's just me. I'm coming in to check on you."
