{Two years, six months and three weeks. That's how long it's been.

For her, anyways. Time is a little confusing to Yako these days, since she was seventeen and change when BREW originally yanked her from her own world, and then spent a good year and a half or maybe more in Death City before she was shoved back out of nowhere, once again seventeen and change instead of the nineteen year old she had become.

She's nineteen again when BREW takes her back, with a different hairstyle and a still-aching heart. In Death City, four days have passed. When she sees the date on her new (old?) communicator, she isn't sure whether she wants to laugh, or cry, or throw the damned mirror at the box that decided to yo-yo her in and out of her own life.

She ends up doing none of the above, instead racing to the abode of one of the people she wants—needs—to see again after all this time, without so much as stopping to make a post to announce her return. She knocks on the door, a little fast and jittery out of pent up longing and hope, and jiggles her right heel a little in anticipation as she waits for an answer.}

He's been telling himself for four days that he always knew that something like this would happen, that he'd always known he'd only have moments with her before something intervened. That didn't make it any easier, though. It still hurts, and he feels lost.

At least he has Sugata. He's sitting on the couch like the non-functioning lump he's become since Yako left, leaning against his best friend. He's starting to reach the point where he can just turn his feelings off for a few hours at a time and stare listlessly at the wall, but when those hours are up he finds himself clinging to his best friend like the world is ending.

The knock on the door isn't exactly unexpected--other people have been dropping by to check on his mood, say something about sympathy, and then scurry away--but Takuto doesn't have the energy to get up. If he summons that energy, it'll immediately be focused on the gaping whole that Yako left behind.]

Still, it's as good a reason as any to invite his bestie over for snacks and a movie. The plan isn't exactly to snuggle up together on the couch, but given the only movies available to rent were horror movies, that's probably what will happen.]
