{ With the quintessence ghouls busy or tired out from helping out others, Rain is on his own today to help Dew, which is fine. He's had years of helping Dew manage his pain, and he knows not to take it personally if Dew gets snappy. It's not Rain he's mad at, it's the situation. Rain still tries his best to make the situation as tolerable as possible.
Dew's been napping in Rain's room, so Rain's slipped out to get a tray together with some hot tea and some fruits to eat. Those may end up being eaten mostly by himself depending on how Dew's feeling, but he always feels like it's nicer to have something fresh to snack on. Later, he can get soup during dinner time and bring it back.
The tray gets set on a bedside table and Rain adds some more water to the diffuser that's going. Maybe it helps that Rain's room somehow always ends up smelling or feeling like a spa. It's conducive to relaxation on purpose, not just for his mate but also for his own preferences. As he waits for the fire ghoul to wake up, Rain sits against the headboard, laptop on his knees as he clicks away to research how people manage their pain when they don't have magic demon doctors on hand. }
