[Zemo's rather territorial when it's his turn to prepare dinner for the team. The kitchen is off-limits while he works, and he's not above scolding anyone who tries sneaking past - even if it's just to grab something from the fridge or a snack from a random cabinet. Because with his luck? One thing will lead to another and then there will be far too many bodies sharing the space (none of which actually want to help him out) and his entire flow is interrupted. What's supposed to be a relaxing cooking session turns into a sensory nightmare that ends in plenty of unnecessary shouting.
So forgive him for snapping once he senses someone else coming close to crossing the threshold into his personal cooking bubble. Dark purple apron tied around him, the baron is facing the stove and... has a knife? He was cubing some vegetables on a cutting board, but he's since paused. The stove is on, and there's currently something bubbling in a stainless steel pot. He doesn't even need to look up or glance back over his shoulder to catch whoever has decided to try his patience.]
Dinner's not for another hour. Think before you snack.

[ All this said as they are leaving one class and are about to separate and go to different classes before their normal lunch period.
Most days, they eat together. It not lunch, sometimes dinner. It's made easier with Michael having his own personal apartment on campus versus the small dorm room Caleb has in one of the older buildings where every creak and step seems louder than it should be. The curse of those beautiful, varnished wooden floors from decades ago. Dartmouth was beautiful, but some buildings needed to be updated to the 1940s, not stuck in the late 1700s. ]
And yes, I have something to eat. Don't start.

Only special dishes were made out of affection. The rest of the time, it was business as usual.
He wasn't used to it being anything else.

[In many ways, Domina was like your typical Diasomnia dorm member: mysterious and standoffish. He was a freshman who didn't mingle--seemed as reclusive almost as an Ignihyde student, without the social anxiety. Sometimes, he could be seen seemingly hanging around with other members of his class or dormmates, but always had an edge of displacement to the way he hovered just on the edges of these interactions. Like he was performing an obligation of some sort, nothing more.
It was almost unheard of to catch him around the cafeteria. Shortly after the beginning of the school year, he promptly decided that the social atmosphere and chatter was an ill-suited distraction. This would be well enough if he at least grabbed his food to go--but more often than not chose to forego the space altogether, leaving him to fend for himself once shop was already closed.
And, being that he didn't at all know how to cook, this typically meant Domina's meals were often composed of whatever nutritionally sufficient snacks he was able to claim. When he arrives in the kitchen, he's expecting it empty--so pauses inside the doorway with an unreadably hollow smile twitching onto his face at the discovery that someone else beat him there.]
