Prompts
I. Matchmaker, Matchmaker - You're a commoner, and the matchmaker - whether it be your parents or an actual village matchmaker - has had their say. It's time to meet your spouse-to-be.
II. Do Your Duty - This isn't a normal arranged marriage because your station calls for it. There's some purpose behind it: A political alliance, perhaps, or something else. You don't have much choice but to go through with it, so you might as well meet the other person.
III. Getting to Know You - So the engagement is official, and you've met the other person, but you still don't know them very well. Maybe you've decided to take them out, or maybe it's a chaperoned meeting. But it's good to spend time with someone you'll be spending the rest of your life with, right?
IV. Breaking it Off - Before your engagement, you were with someone else. You're still with someone else, but it's time to change that. Like it or not, you're going to have to break up with your significant other. In this prompt, you're interacting not with your potential bride or groom, but with someone else.
V. Runaway - That's it. You can't take this. There's no way you're going to go through with this - it's just not for you. You're all set to flee.
VI. One Last Chance - You're all set up for an arranged marriage, but you've got lingering regrets. Maybe there's an old flame you're just not willing to let go of yet. In this prompt, you're interacting not with your potential bride or groom, but with someone else.
VII. The Big Day - Do you hear the wedding bells ringing? Everyone else does. It's time to walk down the aisle and make this official.
VIII. Happily Ever After - Surprisingly, the arranged marriage worked out rather well. Live out your days in wedded bliss and laugh about the fact that you would have chosen each other even if someone else hadn't chosen for you.
IX. Not-So-Happy Ending - Yeah, no. This marriage just isn't working, but you can't break it off. There's no wedded bliss here - just conflict. But you can put up with it. Can't you?

[ One minute, he was being declared a mere pawn in Stolas' master plan (which ???) and dragged out of the courtroom, fighting back desperately against the chains, begging Stolas to do something, anything, because he was so fucking powerless and this couldn't be how things ended, it just couldn't —

The next minute (which felt like a hundred fucking years), he was being dragged back in and tossed down at Stolas' feet, right where the chopping block had been, only now there was...an altar???

He tries to catch Stola's gaze as he scrambles up onto his feet, his hands once again bound by metal cuffs. ]

Stolas of the Ars Goetia... [ The Big Red Bitch's voice carries across the room and the Seven Rings. ] I hereby sentence you to be wed to the imp, Blitzo. You will be stripped of your status and must live among imp-kind, reveling in your failings.

NOW HOLD ON A FUCKING— [ Aaaand there's the fucking gag again. ]

[ Stolas freezes, crimson eyes wide, feathers bristling in sheer disbelief as the words echo through the chamber. ]

I—what...

[ His voice trembles, silk and starlight faltering as it catches on panic. His claws dig into the polished floor, wings quivering, yet poised with all the elegance of a Prince on the verge of collapse. He staggers forward, heart hammering, every instinct screaming that this cannot be real. ]

Blitzy... my—my Blitzy and I?!

[ The words tumble from him, a mixture of terror, disbelief and an undeniable, intoxicating thrill. ]

To be... wed? To... live among... imps?

[ His voice rises, then drops to a gasp. ]

And I am to... revel in my failings... with... him?!

[ A breathless laugh escapes, high, unsteady. ]

Oh, stars above... this is... this is absurd! You cannot be serious?

[ He flails one clawed hand, then presses it to his chest, eyes darting between panic and fascination. ]

...And yet...

[ His wings twitch, neck flushing crimson. ] ...and yet...

[ He whispers, practically hooting and dangerous. ]

...I cannot deny the... delicious temptation in this punishment.

[ He paces, then spins, then freezes, then laughs again. ]

This is—oh, it’s horrible! [ He gasps, and yet, ] ...and perfect. [ Every syllable is a war between indignation and intrigue. ] To have no power... and yet... to be so close... to him...

[ Stolas tilts his head, feathers twitching, eyes glinting crimson, wide with chaotic delight. ]

( after a long and arduous journey through the desert in order to find the man who had plagued the joestar family for decades, it was time for polnareff to return home and get on with his life. he'd known about a possible fiancé waiting for him as the result of his parents meddling long ago when he was a small child, but he hadn't been sure if it was still a valid thing. ever the romantic, when he came back and discovered he'd been summoned to go meet this woman he was to marry, he was on his way. he wasn't actually sure who he was going to marry but he wasn't very picky―

he just wanted to see if this could actually work out.

upon arriving and meeting furina however, he was already head over heels. he'd been a perfect [albeit awkward given how huge he was] gentleman, pulling the seat out for her, kissing her hand upon introduction, and all of that jazz. when the food finally came out though, it was time to get to know her, after all, he was already set to get married now. )

Tell me mon amour, do you prefer to eat out or cook? I've been thinking it's high time I learned how to properly cook myself, after all a year of traveling through the desert has made me so homesick for home cooking!
