Everybody's Working for the Weekend

We're all used to playing our characters in special circumstances--sharing a bath, AUed into a robot, in the rain, lost in the ball pit (well that's one way to get your extra hour)...but how often do we get to actually play our characters doing their day jobs?
This meme is for just that.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Write a starter about your character going about their day/night at work, wherever that may be.
If your character is a doctor, write them checking in on a patient, or having a meal in the hospital cafeteria. If they're a lawyer, write them at court. If they're a professional ghost-hunter? Yeah, that'd be a pretty neat starter too!
Be sure to include some sort of hook that allows other characters to join in the action, even if your character works alone. Maybe they brought their pile of research out to a cafe? Maybe they need help with something?
2. Respond to other characters' starters.
3. Thread. Have a good day at work, or perhaps an awful day at work.

Moonshade - Elfquest - OTA
The stories are only half-true. The tribe of elves known as the Wolfriders call this forest home, and they take turns patrolling the perimeter. Regardless of what brings you into the shadowy embrace of the trees, there's now someone up in the branches keeping an eye on you. Moonshade, one of the tribe's elders and tanners is tracking from above.]
Delia Battista ✨ Star Trek OC ✨OTA, 21+ for any shipping or smut
Delia's job as a mercenary means she can be up to any number of tasks or jobs, a cargo run on her ship, and escort run on with the same, or boots on the ground type jobs where she and her crew among the extra hands, eyes for a task, or extra security. She's also acted as something of a neutral-party diplomat, or even used her less than legal skills for various missions. Not being a part of any official government's military/Fleet, Delia is sometimes used as a third party that's a little less than official for certain things.
And then there's the AU's where she's actually in Starfleet, instead of possibly working for them or anyone else.]
Dr. Michael Morbius | Marvel 616 | OTA
In the day above ground, he could be found in the lab of one of the super scientists reading over sample readings and working on a cure for his pseudo-vampirism. Or it could be a virus that he could be of use in finding a cure for. Every so often he was tasked with helping make strange weaponry when needed, but generally one thing is always the same: he's kept in a room by himself or with another meta who can fight back if the bloodlust rises.
The other place Morbius could be found working? The Monstermetropolis. As often as he runs from it and tries to build a life outside the monster-filled city that fills the old Morlock tunnels under the city. He always comes back.
He could be found looking over paperwork or even just looking over an ailing monster in the space he had made a lab. It was just easy to be found when required and around. Working kept his mind off the guilt, so he works more than he would admit to most.]
The General / Mr. Villain's Day Off
[Or a busier day out in the field. Time to do reconnaissance and walk around
a generic version of Taitothe city. Help observe and maybe explain some of the more inexplicable human habits. Or try to find information on the city's infrastructure so either it can exploited or used after the downfall of Earth. Maybe stop at a food cart for lunch, since the warp gate is down for repairs today and you have to walk around among the Earthlings with the General and document observations. Don't worry, the Evil Organization has your snack money covered (somehow???).][Or if it's a really rough day, it's time for combat review! How the Evil Organization is able to keep a constant supply of exploitable warehouses and rock quarries, no one will ever know. But it's a clear kind of night and there are a swarm of androids that look like smooth mostly featureless cat-people mannequins rearing to fight and produce a row of invaluable data-collecting cannon fodder. Maybe they're collecting data from you, or you're helping train the grunts.]
ooc: If you prefer another spelling of the executives' names lmk and I'll adjust.
The Creature | Del Toro's Frankenstein | OTA20+
A huge gray Maine Coon cat-that had been in the place before he had-patrolled the aisles and watched with judging orange eyes as the handful of customers came and went throughout the day.
The store itself was small, but with enough room in the center for a table of more recently published tomes-had to make money after all-though the walls were packed with the old ones behind glass to reduce dust and grubby fingers on delicate pages printed before most customers were born.
He sat behind the counter, curled up with a newer title, wearing a PPE mask to obscure his face, and what little shown was pale and deeply scarred. When the door bell chimed, he looked up, marking his place with a finger. “Good morning” he greeted, before going back to his book.
