As it hears the click, Angel freezes. Still as a statue, silent. It wasn't breathing or blinking to begin with, but the eerie stillness it can evoke when it wants is complete.

It's not rare, for humans to realize it's undead, not something that belongs in this world. Threats and ostracization are a thing that it faces nearly constantly. But such direct, immediate threats are rarer.

It waits.
