The Room You Can't Leave Until You [x]



A strange trope from the corners of Twitter and Pixiv that relies on the fact that sometimes the most in-character way to get what you want from characters... is to force it.

Two characters are stuck in a room- usually a completely featureless room- with a sign that steadfastly declares the door to the room will not open unless they complete a task. The task can range from something harmless and embarrassing to something full out R-18. Some people enjoy playing up the sadistic captivity of whoever would arrange such a thing while others just enjoy the premise as an excuse.
There's a lot of flexibility so be clear about anything you do/don't want to play out!

Level 1: Nothing but Talk.

Level 2: Let's get Physical.

Obviously these aren't the only options out there. Feel free to make up your own and label for sexual/violent content!

Barcus is never going to a party at Sharess' Caress again. Too many people, most of them far too tall, and somehow in the shuffle he's been shoved into a closet. There's enough light in the little room for him to see Dorian already in here, fortunately, and just that is a huge relief. At least this should be pleasant, with someone he knows and likes. If it were a stranger he'd be flustered beyond words.

There's a card in his hand, which explains what they have to do to get back out, and it takes him a moment to read it because that is not in gnomish and it's an unfamiliar word in Common. Ah, there's an explanation too? Phew.

"...to the wall, really?" A glance from himself to Dorian, then he tucks the card in his shirt pocket. "Well, I'll certainly try."

Orym would be better at this, but Barcus rolls up his sleeves primly, game to give it his all, and then leans a fist against the wall on either side of Dorian's hips with a quiet but distinct thump. He looks quite determined, but his head only comes to slightly above waist level, so it will have to be Dorian's call whether this is effective or whether he has to climb a little.

"Hello, dear," a pleased little smile. "I don't think you're meant to try to get away."
