[Marie was trying to pull Charlie away from a group of demons mocking her and the hotel. She can see... no, fee the rage coming off of Charlie and she needed to calm down quickly]

[The more Charlie tries to prove the hotel's not a joke the more people Vox sends to attack her. This time he spread rumors that the little "gremlin maid" tried to gay-rape Katie Killjoy (as if she would, Niffty is the only straight person here).

And, well, Charlie's attempt to be civil has just made everyone nastier. And she snapped.]

Nobody accuses my friends of raping homophobic newscasters and gets away with it!

[And yep, Marie now sees what Charlie went through and is going through! She keeps pulling her away before her arms wrap around her waist.]

Charlie, if you don’t calm down, I’m dousing you completely!

[Would that be any more humiliating than what's going on now? Probably not, but Charlie's in no hurry to get soaked.

With a growl, she forces herself to back off and calm down, even as the demons keep laughing and jeering about her "giving up".]

[And THAT riles up Marie. She shifts into her water form and glares at the demons.]

And that's your cue to GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!

[And she creates and launches a massive geyser at them, forcing the doors close as she follows Charlie back]

The nerve! I've never used that language before! C'mon, let's calm down somewhere.

[And even the demons who were mocking the loudest scream in terror, they didn't know the hotel had such a scary guest, Vox sure as hell didn't warn them!

Charlie just sighs, willing herself not to collapse, she's about two seconds away from a meltdown.]

I know I didn't need to, but... I don't like bullies because I was one before! Seeing you so riled up... I couldn't stand it because I've done it and regretted it.

[She'll quickly slip in front of Charlie to plant a kiss on her forehead.]

And I certainly don't want you all riled up before Vaggie returns...

this is probably set around episode 5 of season 2

She said she had somewhere to go but wouldn't tell me...maybe she's going to try and set the record straight with the news.

[The forehead kiss calms Charlie a little, and she sighs.]

Now that's working for redemption. Trying to be a better you, break those bad habits. A few days ago I'd have asked you to tell your story to Vox, but after the disaster with Angel...
