Why did you show him your ghoul stuff? Why did he want to see it? You know there are bad people that hunt animals for trophies, is he a ghoul poacher?

[ he huffs a little, smooshing his face against rain's collarbones. ] He's not a bad guy. We were just talking and it came up, how we all look different under our glamours, and how having a body at all is weird sometimes for me. He doesn't want me as a trophy.

[ at least, he doesn't think so. cliff is sort of evasive about things, but he does seem genuinely nice. ]

{ He rubs at Phantom's hair a bit because he did, in fact, get peanut butter on it. }

So he called you pretty. Was it different than when we call you pretty?

[fantomen]

[ that just means rain's obligated to take a bath with him later and help him wash his hair. in the meantime, he leans a little sideways to take a slice of apple, too, turning his head to shove it in his mouth.

he considers the question for a few moments, then shrugs. ] No, but yes? I've never had a human say something like that to me. [ he got so flustered, it was the worst. ] .. Well.. Other than Frater and Papa, but they don't count. They're part of us.

Do you like thinking about it or do you not really think about it at all?

{ He leans back just enough that he can raise his eyebrows at Phantom while he waits for the response. These are important questions! }

[fantomen]

[ his tail twitches, winding with rain's own again as the other ghoul leans back to look at him. for a few moments, he just gazes back, trying to decide where rain is going with this-- but then he starts to go a little pink. ]

Oh! Oh no, no way, it's not like that. I-- I barely even know him. He's just someone to talk to.

[ it's way too early to have a crush! ]

I'm just checking! That's my job as a best friend.

{ He is definitely relieved, though, when Phantom says exactly what he was thinking. But it is Phantom and he's so excitable that Rain thinks he can't be blamed for having to ask.

Humans are just ... Well. Rain doesn't really know much about them beyond Copia, his brothers, the Siblings, and Mercy. But he knows that they can be not nice. Look at what Sister Imperator did, after all! It's hard not to feel a bit protective. }

I'm glad you're making friends, though. I think Copia would say the same thing, too.
