[ A bed of straw and blankets made up in one of the empty horse stalls inside a drafty old barn is not exactly the ideal place to receive medical care.

But it's probably still better than some of the other places Gohan ends up in after having his ass thoroughly handed to him by the Androids.

It's probably the whinny of horses that brings Gohan back to consciousness. Or perhaps the strong animal smells in the barn. Or maybe the stamping and snorting of the horse in the neighboring stall, who keeps poking its head over the wall to look at him. He smells of blood and that smell has been making the animals nervous.

But there's not much Malon can do about that just yet. It's a feat in itself that she managed to drag the large man into the barn in the first place-- to say nothing of how she's kept him alive for this past week that he's been unconscious.

So color her surprised when she gets to the stall and finds him with his eyes open for the first time. ]
