MONSTER'S BRIDE There's a long precedent in folklore and myth of beautiful young people - both men and women - being kidnapped by monsters: dragons, beasts, goblins, demons, elves, vampires, wolves, or even evil humans. In the end, however, these prisoners are almost always rescued and brought back to civilization to live a normal and happy life. But what if they didn't want to leave their jailor? They've seen behind the surface and have begun to sympathize with this "monster;" no, more than that, they've fallen for them. Will this story have a happy ending? Will the monster believe that anyone could love them? Most importantly, though, can the two of them be left alone without any attempts at a "rescue?" how to play Comment with your character, your preference, and what role they'll play. Feel free to AU characters to your desired role. Reply to others. Thread anything that could remotely fit under the umbrella theme. Was the kidnapping just that, or did both parties know (and care) for each other before, making it a collaborative, mutual effort? Perhaps you'd prefer to play the actual Beauty and The Beast-style getting to know each other or seeing behind the grizzly facade. What about an attempted "rescue?" Or maybe you could thread out a scene where the prisoner runs away from the society they were forced back into and returns to their beloved beast! It's all up to you. You could even do smut if you wanted to, but this isn't a smut meme.

Dorian yawns as he stretches his arms over his head, feeling a bit stiff. He'd been reading through these old text and ancient documents for quite a while now, but all the words are starting to blend and blur together.

It's been about a month or so since he had first met Percy, since he'd been brought to live with him and found out about the curse. Since then he'd done what he could to try and help him find a way to break it, but he didn't think he was any closer to finding a cure for Percy than he'd been since they started.

Even so, Percy seemed to be doing... a bit better? At least it seemed so, from what he could tell from when he'd first met the man back then. Percy seemed at least a little less lonely, which Dorian was glad he could do that for him, at least.

Rubbing his eyes, he pushes away from the desk and gets to his feet. He doesn't think he's going to be getting anything more done tonight, and he's starting to feel a bit hungry. Maybe a break and a snack would help.

It hasn't been long since Inezia was sent to placate the so called Monster. Due to just how badly the storm had been coming in she had fallen ill. There was a faint memory of someone shouting? She can't remember much just a cold hand and soneone trying to tell her something.

She had woken up twice during her illness. Someone had ordered her back to bed the few times she woke up and with the confusion that the fever she had settling in she had thought she was supposed to be working.

So not just once but twice during her recovery she remembered the voice all but hrieling at her to stay in bed. Then being hoisted up and placed back in the bed she should have been resting in.

Finally after ten days of the damned illness, Inezia wakes up. She is aware suddenly that she is in a castle and little bits of memory come back. It is embarrassing to admit thag the Monster she had been gifted to probably saved her life. Maybe she can just stay put and ignore that forever. It does not helps she feels tired still.
