Neither does pouring it down their throats, in hindsight, but even staggering into the restaurant with his eyes practically crossed, looking around to make sure he didn't lose an equally drunk Yancy somewhere in the parking lot, Raleigh is truly happy, goofily happy. He's worked his ass off, has barely slept for weeks on end, both of them together, and it's almost over now. Man, what a ride it's been.

They're gonna pass. He's sure of that. They're gonna pass, and then they're gonna save the world. ]

Pancakes! C'mon, man, keep up. I'm starving.

[ The hostess shows them to a booth, leaves them with a couple of menus. Raleigh slumps into one of the seats, scrubbing his palms briefly over his face. ]

[The only reason she's not vibrating in her seat is that she's too drunk to vibrate. So she's swaying slightly instead, not that she notices.

[ pavel andreievich chekov is many things. he is the brightest among others his age, even among his commanding officers. he is a prodigy, the quickest of learners, the promise that the future of starfleet is one that holds many, many great things.

he is also a terrible lightweight. a glass and a half of champagne has him flushed and giggling like a teenage girl faced with her high school crush asking her to the homecoming dance, eyes bright and smiling wide despite the complete inability to keep himself from fidgeting.
