[ Most of the time, Cissnei didn't allow herself to take time off of work just to sit outside and stare blankly up at the sky. But there were other times when she wanted to, and even if she did, there would be work to do and she couldn't escape from it, lest she seem to be a slacker. The Turks, as anyone would guess, didn't really appreciate slacking.

But today there was no work, and she wanted to feel like she had wings and the sky wasn't even the limit. Making her way out of Midgar was easy, despite the monsters, and sitting outside and pretending that maybe things were different and she wasn't stuck in a job of loss was easier. There was no one else around, which was okay, but she wouldn't deny company.

Night was the best time, she believed. Good things always happened during the night. ]

[ The Doctor has committed sins against so very many, against friends and enemies alike, against companions old and new, and the ones that are to come. But the greatest, and perhaps the most unforgivable would be to him, the one that the Doctor locks away in another dimension, out of sight, out of mind. He's not the first that the Doctor abandons, and he certainly won't be the last.

But sometimes people don't stay abandoned, sometimes you meet them again, when the stars align and the TARDIS decides that it's necessary. Sometimes, like now, when they finally meet again, the Doctor wears a different face and a different smile but it's still the same weight, the same damage, the same anger, and the same hate.

(Funny how they keep changing but they never really do.)

He stops, and carefully closes the door of his TARDIS behind him, suddenly wishing he could be on the opposite side of it, and away from the physical manifestation of his clone. Johnny is an anomaly, a warped mirror of who he is, twisted and damaged beyond all recognition; the Doctor's own personal ghost of Christmas past and the like.

[ Leo knows a thing or two about stars... or at least, he used to. When he was little, and the night was clear, his mom would take him out once in a while and point out the constellations. Now, he mostly just remembers names - not so much what they look like, or how to spot them. That doesn't stop him from trying, though the only one he's found so far is the Big Dipper, otherwise known as the Big Freaking Spoon That Literally Anyone Can See. With the thought of a certain annoying bird in mind, he points at a random collection of stars in the sky. ]

[Because this is supposed to be happy. Despite the fact that he and Thalia had been on the run for so long and had spent so many nights sleeping out in the open, Luke never really took a lot of time to actually look at the constellations in the night sky. Most of the time he was up keeping watch, ready for a fight should a monster stumble upon the two halfbloods.

Tonight was different though. It wasn't that he felt safe, necessarily, but he was content for the moment. It was a rare moment that he was going to seize. He knew Thalia wasn't too far away from where he was sitting staring up at the sky, but he also knew that if she was asleep he should let her rest until the next hoard of monsters found them. He was fine pinpointing the different groups of stars, sometimes smirking and sometimes questioning the gods' judgment for creating the constellations. It wasn't until he came across a group of stars that he scowled heavily.

The Hare of Hermes. It was stupid to be jealous of a hare, but seriously; how did a rabbit get more attention from his father than he did? He couldn't quite keep the annoyed, disgusted sound from leaving his lips, followed by:]

[john had tried everything he could so far, short of one option he really didn't want to go for, in order to get todd back to the pegasus galaxy. he knew knew that the IOA and Stargate Command wouldn't let him go. he knew it was a bad idea to let him go, but keeping him here as a prisoner didn't feel right.

maybe it was some after-effect of their brotherly bond or whatever the hell.

all he knew at the moment is that he had to be out of his mind. he'd lost it. he'd finally cracked under the strain of command or something because why else would he be sneaking through his own damn city with a wraith stunner, and taking out his own men (save the few who were insane enough to help him). namely, rodney who thankfully was a civilian and hopefully could make up some story to cover his ass once john had gotten through the stargate with todd.

he darts into corridor where todd's room is (they'd long since moved him from the brig in order to offer a more hospitable environment. how nice of them.), and takes out the two guards at the wraith's door. he waits, listening for the sounds of backup, or rodney's warning in his earpiece. when he hears nothing, he goes to the door, opening it.]

Todd? Hey, we've got to move.

[ The night sky was nice to look at as it was, so maybe that's what brought him out here tonight, blue eyes cast up into the starry sky and landing on the bright, large moon in the sky, musing what it might be like to actually touch it with how close it looked.

He even mutely reaches up toward it, not really paying much attention to the other who might just have been there the entire time as he'd walked out and done this. ]
