[ Jake clears his throat and looks down at his lap, fiddling with the hem of his shirt. While Roxy knew the truth for sure, from Jake's point of view he's free to go for it! Jane confirmed outright that she had no interest in him (at least by accident), and while the conversation with Dirk was a lot more... vague, and Dirk seemed very distracted when they were having their conversation, but Jake came out of that talk feeling fairly (and inaccurately) certain that he was mistaken about the idea of Dirk having feelings for him too.

All in all, there's no hang up for Jake in this situation. It's just about getting over his own nervousness and getting over that first hurdle. ]

Right... So should I start, or would you like to? Or do we just sort of go for it at the same time?

[ roxy has to wonder just how damn oblivious this kid has to be; legitimately. all the signs are there, he just has to put two and two together, not only for her two friends but also for how she feels on the subject. but jake seems totally into the idea, so roxy feels kinda bad for kissing him and seemingly leading him on. the least she can do is like... make out with him a little more or something, right?

yeah this is totally not at all going to come back and bite them all in the ass later. absolutely not. roxy's just about to call the whole thing off when jake pipes up again and roxy remembers exactly why she was so endeared to the kid in the first place.

she snorts into her drink, kicking the last bit of it back and dropping the glass onto the stand next to her bed.

Ahahaha, Jake, are you serious right now? [ but she says it with a laugh and a grin, leaning back onto the bed again. ] This isn't like some video game. There aren't turns.

[ Yeah, the kissing was what got them here in the first place, more of that probably wasn't the best plan ever. Then again, Jake honestly didn't seem to mind any of this! That might be part of the issue though, Jake's utter willingness to go along with this when Roxy knew for a fact there would be two people who wouldn't be too pleased with her to find out Jake's cherry had been popped and it wasn't their doing.

Well, maybe less upset about the fact that they didn't get to sleep with him first and more the fact that someone slept with him at all when they had feelings for him. But really, details.

He twists around a little so he can face her, looking almost bewildered by all this. Oh sure, he gets it on the level that he knows how sex works and it's sort of partner activity, but that doesn't mean he knows fuck all about how to put it into practice. ]

One person usually kicks the whole thing off though, right?

jake is so god damn precious that roxy almost can't contain herself. sure, she still feels guilty as FUCK for finding herself in this situation but even she can't hide the fact that she's not immune to jake's charms... which is quite possibly the worst thing in the world right now. ]

It takes two people to kiss.

[ as she says this, she pushes herself forward and brushes her lips against jake's; not enough to kiss, but enough to tease, just to get her point across. ]

And if you think you're getting away with doing nothing, then you can leave right now.

[ Who knew bumbling about and being incompetent at all things sexual would actually earn you brownie points with the ladies! Jake sure didn't, but somehow this all seems to be working in his favor, despite the fact that he's not really angling for that at this point thinking that they're already at the point he didn't need to convince her further.

At her leaning in though with her chastising remark, he'll take something of a hint and bridge the gap, kissing her proper as she starts to tug at the edge of his shirt. It takes two to kiss and two to have sex, and it sounds to him like she's expecting some degree of initiative. ]

[ it's not so much the awkwardness itself as much as it is what said awkwardness implies: a virgin, someone who doesn't know the ropes and most likely doesn't know the first thing about pleasing a woman, only enough about pleasing themselves. luckily for jake (though not so much for roxy, given the aforementioned guilt she's shouldering), roxy knows all about pleasing herself so she'll at least have no qualms about leading jake's hands where they need to go.

even then, it'd be adorable and roxy would spend the time laughing at him as he got his wits about him again. ]

Better... [ she hisses into the kiss, one hand pushing his shirt further up on his frame while her lips press to his again, initiating a deeper kiss; her tongue flicks to his bottom lip. she holds it for a few minutes before pulling back just long enough to finally strip him of that article of clothing. ]

[ While it is true that Jake has this bad tendency not to be able to sit still for extended periods of time, and does get a bit spastic in his fighting methods, he's fairly confident in his ability to at least hold hid hands and other parts of his anatomy steady enough to be able to get this done right! At least, he thinks so, whether he can put this all into practice or not has yet to be determined.

At least for now he is kissing back with gusto, and seems reluctant to break it even to get his shirt off over his head. Hopefully Roxy's not going to miss her chance to take a peak at that terrible farmer's tan he's sporting, because the moment the shirt is clear of his head Jake is cupping Roxy's face with both hands and reengaging in that kiss. He's a lot less unsure, and a heck of a lot less chaste about it too. ]
