Gustave's dressed up when Esquie finishes pushing Verso's cargo barge up to the pier. He offers a polite wave and a wink to both Esquie and Monoco and lets them go and fetch their rugged captain for him. It's when Verso emerges that Gustave withdraws a flower he's been holding behind his back and tosses it up for the other to catch.

"When was the last time you had a bath!" He calls by way of greeting, brown eyes full of warmth to see the other again. "Am I going to regret asking you to come down and give us a kiss?"

"You'll be getting a bath in a minute, chou bêta." Replied lightly as he caught the flower easily, boots hitting the wood of the pier. An arm snaked out to catch Gustave around the waist, giving a playful turn like he might just tip him into the harbor before leaning in to kiss him as requested.

"Missed you. Get into any fun trouble without me?"

"Had one this morning, thank you very much!" Gustave doesn't resist when Verso pulls him into the other's momentum and space. Trusting the other not to actually push him into the harbor ruining his nice suit. The kiss draws a satisfied hum out of Gustave's throat.

"Missed you terribly. But you're in time for Lumiere's first Festival since this all started. I wanted to write to you but I didn't want you to rush on my account."

Gustave looked too cute all nicely dressed for the city to ruin it like that. At least not without a really good reason. Without one? His suit was safe, Verso more than happy in the moment to just enjoy having the man in his grasp again.

"A Festival, hm? No one's taking a leaf out of the Gestrals book for it, yeah? Could get hectic if so." He knew full well they weren't but Verso just enjoyed teasing.

Gustave smiles a bit and leans more of his weight into Verso's grasp. In truth, he hadn't wanted to write the other in case Verso wasn't keen on being here for the festivities. Having him Choose to come home to Lumiere aside from Gustave's wishes was...important.

"I was going to invite you out to a nice dinner to celebrate."
