it started out quietly, and then, quite suddenly, you're caught in a storm. time to find cover. nothing much to do but to wait it out.

i. WHERE;
001 PLAYGROUND - well, you can try to hide under the slide or maybe in the jungle gym... at least you're some place fun?
002 PARK - always happens, caught outside trying to take advantage of the weather... and it ends up pulling a fast one on you.
003 STORE FRONT - better hope they have an awning you can take advantage of.
004 THE BEACH - not exactly the best place to be during a rainstorm, however it is possible to get caught in a sudden storm.
005 WILD CARD - anyway you want it.

ii. HOW;
001 TREE - not the best cover, but it'll have to do, stay close to the roots and you won't get too wet.
002 UMBRELLA - most conventional... kinda boring. But it works.
003 NEWSPAPER - not permanent, but it'll have to do. good luck.
004 BAG - well... y'gotta do what you gotta do.
005 NONE - you know what. you're a rebel. you don't need cover. screw convention.
006 WILD CARD - that's the way you need it.

iii. WHY;
001 REJECTED - welp. rejection sucks. and no one will see you crying in the rain.
002 WAITING - for the bus? for someone else? for some revelation? what are you waiting for.
003 MELANCHOLY - sometimes the best place to feel a bit down is out in the rain.
004 HAPPINESS - is everything going your way? are you singing a refrain while walking down the lane? just singin. singin' in the rain.
005 ANGER - WELL YOU KNOW WHAT. SCREW YOU TOO RAIN.

[Well, this was indeed a very particular reaction. He'd have to remember it for later, but it was very cute. He might humor her a little longer with this, but not too much.]

[The first thing Natsuru thinks is that she could have easily reached that if Yunoha had just pointed it out to her.

Second, she gives a questioning glance at the kit. She's not sure how she's supposed to make something that looks like the picture, but it does say 'beginners'. Also, that's not the foremost question on her mind.]

[She squeezes back before pulling him away from the car and leading him a couple blocks away to her apartment. Jazmine makes him wait in the hall for a few moments while she checks to see if her roommates are home because she likes the girls but maybe doesn't want to just show up with Chuck Hansen out of nowhere nor does she really want other people around right now.

They're (mostly?) back together but nothing practical is really figured out and no time like the present right?

She ducks back into the hallway, gesturing at him to come on in.]

Castle nods, completely understanding. Rain means that people turn into idiots. He wraps an arm quickly around her waist.

"Let's go over there."

He points to an overhang on the side of a nearby building. At least over there they won't continue to get completely drenched. Castle grabs her hand and runs with her across the pavement. After they're out of the downpour, he gives her a proper hug.

"Next time we'll meet some place less wet."

Dude, get what you want, okay, it's not that big of a deal.

[ Dean eases up the counter, tosses the cute barista a little grin and orders a black coffee and a slice of pie, before glancing at Cas. ]

[ Shadow walked into view, from where he'd found shelter under a tree. ]

If you keep going like that, you'll probably break your leg like you did last time. I might not be there to save you.

[ Mordred doesn't relax while shedding off water-heavy layers, no longer so in touch with anything but the physical after years of starving off his magic and practicing so long with a sword and shield. Not quite relaxed but no longer on the verge of sulking, he steps over carefully to Merlin, tugging at the thin material left over his chest.

Crouching down on the opposite side of the flame, he glances up to watch Merlin despite some mental dare to keep his gaze averted, watching the easy curve of his smile until their gazes meet, quickly glancing back down. The fire offers little warmth so he shifts that much closer, trying not to dwell too long on thoughts of what must be calming Merlin; what can cause him to smile so effortlessly when all Mordred can do is draw out guilty laughter and terse looks.

Mouth pursed, he watches the fire quietly, finally shifting to sit with his legs pulled toward his chest. ] They'll laugh at us, tomorrow.

[ Small talk wins in the end — but he sounds almost amused, like maybe he doesn't mind how the day turned out as much as he should. ]

Eh? ((He has to think a moment before speeding up, a bit unsure. Haru probably wants out of the rain, and Makoto couldn't blame him for it.

Either way, Makoto continues to talk, a little slower, sort of thinking out loud. Mostly school things, expressing concern about an upcoming exam. His worst subject too, but that went without saying. His house was closer, and near to the door, he holds the umbrella's handle to Haru.))

Why don't you take this and just bring it back later? I know it's not that far, but it's not like I won't see you later. ((He smiles, blinking slowly.))

[Something about this seemed a bit too familiar, really. That was the nature of meetings though, perhaps. On occasion they were almost identical. This being the case when Jade was taking the Pontus out on it's maiden voyage across the Rugnica Plains when the bridge notified him of a possible Hyperresonance and the presence of Seventh Fonons at Tataroo Valley.

Sighing mentally to himself, he directed the Pontus in that direction and this time he didn't have to track the fonon signature all the way to Engeve, instead finding the source at the end of the Rotelro Bridge. Halting it, a squad deployed from it to surround the Princess calmly as Jade finally stepped into the circle.]

A Seventh Fonist? Well. There is getting to be a rarity of them since the Planet Storm has been stopped.

[He really was going to have to get back on that project about restarting it, but frankly that would have to wait a while longer while he continued to assess Auldrant's Fonon levels and yearly usage. Plus it'd take a few years to make that happen anway, so, more details and still more problems.]

I suppose we could look into programs, even I'm not aware of all the sponsoring programs we have going.

[By the time she notices the soldiers, it's far too late to run. There's no cover, and her magical energy (aside from the Triforce, which she is absolutely not willing to call on in a strange situation) is depleted. She can't outrun them on strange terrain, a point that was only struck home once she saw their strange vehicle.

No, running would only make her look guilty.

Zelda raised her head, looking somehow regal despite being soaked to the bone and utterly outnumbered. Her eyes flit from soldier to soldier, finally settling on Jade and widening slightly. A human? She hadn't seen one since she was a child, when the court was still taking visitors from outside the country... and she'd never seen one with such obvious magical power. Equally surprising was the fact that she understood him even though she could tell he was speaking a language she'd never heard.

The only outward sign of her distress was her ears flattening down and back like a frightened animal. Her voice was calm as she answered carefully, speaking in the same strange language as Jade.]

This is hardly an enticing invitation, but I suppose I'm not in a position to refuse.

[Throwing herself on the mercy of a stranger (even one who has been very charming so far!) was simply not something she was comfortable doing. She needed to be able to stand on her own.]

[Whenever SEES went into Tartarus, he was always eager to take part in the exploration. Even when he got tired, he still pushed himself, until Mitsuru essentially forced him to stop. Or Minato, by way of leader's command.]

He'd never seen nor heard any history of anyone in Auldrant having such ears, he may have to double-check his sources later to make a final determination before he even attempts to form a theory on why she's here.]
