1. HANDCUFFED.
Maybe one character has handcuffed themselves to the other on purpose. Maybe not. Either way, the cuffs are awfully sturdy and it looks like you've just lost the key.

2. TIED UP / CAPTIVE.
Being actually tied up isn't a necessity, although you're more than welcome to write it that way! The important part of this prompt is that the two characters are both being held captive by an outside force, one with less than benevolent intentions.

3. TRAPPED INDOORS.
The classic "snowed in" option, although snow isn't the only option! Any sort of intolerable weather works, and there are always more creative options, like being trapped in an underground bunker during a nuclear winter. The world is your oyster.

4. ACCIDENT / RUBBLE.
A collapsing building pinning two people down gives ample time for a bonding session. Or screaming for help. It's up to you.

5. AN ISLAND / THE WILDERNESS.
Whichever location you choose, it's deserted save for two. They'll have to fight over the meager resources there are or work together to survive until they can return to their homes.

6. IN SPACE.
Maybe someone just pulled a Passenger and woke another passenger from their cryopod, or maybe all the others in your crew died and they're the only ones left. In space, you're really, truly alone.

7. TWO MAN JOB.
They're not physically trapped together, but there's a job that only these two can do. Maybe they hate each other, but hate a third party more. Maybe they've been stuck together on a mission by a superior. The possibilities are endless, so don't be afraid to get creative.

8. WILDCARD.
Your choice -- get creative.

Brief bio- A shapeshifting warrior poet alien, who splits his time between superheroics and many human lives, as he tries to find his place on Earth. Feel free to direct tags to a particular secret identity.

Big fan of circumstances where J'onn is in a secret identity and can't bust out the Martian moves, being stranded in a spaceship or the two man job angle.

[ It wasn't often that their individual Phantom Thief groups locked on to the same target. For better or worse, it was rare for anyone to wind up in both their crosshairs, to the point the agreement needed no negotiations or spoken words.

Somewhere along the line, though, their wires must have gotten crossed.

Hitoshi Sato came up as a person of interest on Akira's radar from multiple Mementos requests, complete with a laundry list of suspected crimes: serial stalking, harassment, invasive recordings, and other things that hadn't yet been fully substantiated in the information Futaba dug up. Akira had expected it to be relatively straightforward: find his Shadow in Mementos, confront it, and he would cease his activities and turn himself in soon enough, giving his victims some measure of solace.

Then they'd taken a turn in Mementos, only to realize the winding domain the Shadow had claimed for itself was forming the skeleton of a Palace. The longer they left things to deteriorate, the more the crimes would escalate. The most natural course of action, then, of course, was to nip this all in the bud, and contain some of the damage.

They had crossed paths with Wonder's group partway in, after contending with a grueling series of mechanisms. The distortions of the Palace formed what seemed almost like the endless corridors of an office complex, if the monotonous walls led to rooms with studio setups equipped with lights and cameras instead of cubicles. By then, everyone's energy was flagging; there'd been no safe room in sight for a long stretch. Then they'd nearly been boxed in by an unexpected crowd of Shadows spawning without warning in one of the maze-like hallways.

The Shadows were uncanny in their instincts, scrambling their formation. Akira had pulled Nagisa aside after an errant Ziodyne spell knocked the wind out of him, only to get clocked by some kind of spell himself. The effects were immediate: a familiar heat flooding through his body, a sense of temptation dangling distant promises on the fringes of his thoughts. It had to be some type of Charm-inflicting skill, and as luck would have it, he didn't have any skills on his currently equipped arsenal of Personas to cleanse it.

His thoughts had gone woozy from there—only enough presence of mind to bark a few orders to the other Phantom Thieves of Hearts to follow the route Futaba had found to a safe room, then regroup later. He vaguely registered Nagisa doing the same for his own group, voice steady despite the din unfurling around them. It wasn't ideal that he and Nagisa had been split off from the others, but the chaos left at least enough room to bid a hasty retreat.

The rest was a half-jumbled mess. He tossed a healing spell over Nagisa before his thoughts grew so hazy it was a nearly impossible task to summon any of his Personas. Then Nagisa had shaken off the remaining damage with a fierce grace, seized his hand, and led the way, guiding him into a sprint to get out of sight of the patrolling shadows. In the absence of proper cover and the sparseness of furniture in the hallways, they'd ducked into one of the studio rooms. Perhaps it was the panic, the adrenaline, or something else entirely, but he'd gone instinctively when Nagisa yanked him into the electrical closet in the corner, the two of them tumbling to the ground in a mess of heavy breaths and limbs right after Nagisa urgently kicked the door shut.

In such a cramped space, Akira finds himself half sprawled against some of the random equipment, metal digging into his side as he squirms to situate himself and prop his back against the wall. There isn't much space to accommodate the length of his legs, and moreover—well, if there was barely enough space for Akira, it stands to reason Nagisa had nowhere to go but on top of him, half splayed across his lap, their bodies pressed together in a way that feels like it's igniting Akira's skin even through his clothes as Joker.

There must be a panel somewhere along the wall. The soft glow of some kind of screen illuminates the enclosed space just enough for him to realize Nagisa's mask has been knocked askew, and his own—it must have fallen to the ground.

And Nagisa's eyelashes are so long.

Every slight twitch makes Akira suck in a sharp breath. There's a burning sensation frying the circuitry of his nerves, and every touch feels too sharp. His eyes have gone glazed, a flush high on his cheeks, and for a moment, the errant impulse to grab Nagisa and pull him closer somehow crosses his addled thoughts.

Instead, he digs his fingers into his own thigh. He shouldn't—except he can't remember why at this point, because it's sounding increasingly like a good idea. ]

Wonder, you—

[ He freezes, heartbeat jackhammering in his chest. Some lumbering footsteps pass by outside somewhere with faint, distorted speech, like the Shadows forming the security are conversing. ]
