PROMPTS
01. Go West, young man. Go West. The trail isn't always an easy one, but sometimes, you just have to prove what you're made of and make your own way.
02. A cowboy is a man with guts and a horse. You can only trust you, yourself, your gun, and your horse. Friends might come second.
03. Never drink unless you're alone or with somebody. Whether on the trail or in a saloon, there's a drink in your hand. Do you invite someone to drink with you or remain content to watch?
04. Cowboy Coffee ain't safe drinkin’. Just startin' the day, sitting around the fire, or keeping watch, it's the perfect pick-me-up. No one said it ever had to taste good though.
05. Head 'em up, move 'em out! You're finally leaving town, but something's keeping you from making a peaceful getaway. Folk approaching you about that barfight last night? A pretty guy or gal? Or maybe someone's just looking to collect a debt.
06. He looks like he was put away wet. It's not your first stand-off, but some might not see it that way. Better brush up on those gunslinging skills! There ought to be some targets around here somewhere...
07. Life is simpler when you plow around the stump. You've sowed your wandering oats and have finally settled down. What kind of life are you living now? Peaceful and respectable? Or has your reputation followed you home?
08. Forgive your enemies. It messes up their heads. Making amends isn't as easy as wronging someone, so what's it gonna be? A drink, a slap on the back? Or maybe you're just not having it and thinking about putting a bullet in their head instead.
09. Don't corner something that would normally run from you. You're in a tough spot and need some help. Do you think your way out of it by talking or show some teeth and fight? Regardless, you're not backing down until someone's dead or you're free to go.
10. Every trail has a few puddles in it. Not everyone has the best luck! Be it too much rain, too much snow, or just too much sun, the trail is what you make of it. Hope you've come prepared.
11. The best sermons are lived, not preached. So, put your money where your mouth is. It's one thing to say the words and another to live by them. Can your personal creed stand on its own when things are tough? Just remember: church is only on Sundays.
12. Most of the stuff people worry about ain't never gonna happen anyway. You're minding your own business when you come across bandits. Or the bandits come across you. Do you hold your ground or try to make a run for it?
13. Don't judge folks by their relatives. So what if your brother or sister went off on a bad road? People who whisper aren't worth the breath you need to argue with 'em. After all, one bad seed doesn't mean the whole crop is ruined. Or does it?
14. Don't fix it if it ain't broke. Everything wears down from use after a while. Maybe you need a new gun, a new set of clothes, a new horse. Either way, you're too stubborn to give in! Duct tape doesn't exist, so you're just going to have to make due with what you've got.
15. That'll be the day. It's a bird! It's a snake! It's a runaway stagecoach! Or train. Possibly even a stampede. Whatever it is, you unexpectedly find yourself in the middle of it.
16. You got 'em right where ya want 'em, son. It's been a long time coming, the end of a chase. This is between you and them, and ain't nothing out there that can stand in your way.
17. You cannot unsay a cruel word. Some past deed or choice words come back to bite you. How do you go about fixing it? Or do you even try?
18. Words that soak into your ears are whispered, not yelled. You're just itching to give someone some good advice. Riding, roping, shooting. It doesn't matter what it is, you just want to make sure it sticks this time.
