[ They'd landed the Blackbird in a hurry, and one of its wings was definitely busted somehow. That had meant a rush outside into this jungle they'd needed to crash into, and beyond the smoke lay a fairly safe clearing of unfamiliar flora.
Stepping into it sent a puff of pollen into the air, and though Ororo hadn't given it much initial thought, she wonders now if there was more to it. She knew what this flush of heat meant, rising in her cheeks and up from her core. Normally she could do something - meditate, take tea, go through some tai chi forms to take the edge off until it abated, but... Something about it felt stronger this time.
She fiddles with the zip of her uniform, settled high on her neck. If she tugged it down just a little, surely that would be... fine? She looks askance at Nathan in step beside her as they trekked back to the no-longer-smoking Blackbird. ]

They were similar in their positions in society, but they differed in their approach in how to serve New Eridu against the Hollows. Even now that the apocalypse is far from over and Hollows still make a part of the world's scenery, that doesn't mean people need to stop living.
Still in the service of HAND, Troy takes all that accumulated vacation hours to spend time with Yixuan. They have fought in many battles and shared tender moments of conversation side by side. The wooden frames and the old walls surround him, and the sound of seclusion outside of their room brings him to his senses before he zones out again.
