Congratulations! You've been accepted to Professor Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters! Or… maybe you haven't. Either way, you're in a whole different world now.

But just who are you? And what sort of role will you have?


What?:
1. A mutant. You were born with the X-Gene, and now that you've hit puberty your powers have manifested. Or maybe you weren't - maybe you're an alien? Or stole a mystical artifact? Whatever, you've got superpowers.
2. A human. Oh no. Your kid's a mutant! Are you excited about it? Upset? Do you want to burn the witch? Or maybe you're just trying to protect the good people from crazy mutants. From senator to soccer mom, you've got people to think of who can't move buildings with their minds.
3. Other, or a mix. Maybe you're an alien. Maybe you're a monster but not a mutant. Maybe you're a telekinetic mutant who has to sit down and explain to their kid that no, you can't explode whatever you want, even if you can shoot lasers out of your hands.

Who?:
1. Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. You're a student, who may or may not be involved in other activities. Are you a sports star? Or are you the kid who hogs a computer every day and merges with it? Or maybe you're a teacher.
2. X-Men. You're not a student anymore, but you're still on call. When the phone rings (or that banana that hides a radio transceiver does), it's time to suit up.
3. Brotherhood of Mutants. You're a 'bad guy' - or at least most people see you that way. Maybe you've got good intentions, but you've ended up with the less… diplomatic faction.
4. Moral Guardians. Mutants these days. You just want to keep everyone safe - without the help of the mutants. More a prompt for humans, but mutants could work too, depending on their views.
5. Other teams/misc. Maybe you're not on the X-Men, but Alpha Force, or the Young Mutants - or even the Avengers. Maybe you're not connected with anyone - you can do it on your own.

Please do not leave a blank comment! At least say what your character is and any limits! (Also smut preferences if you wanna lean that way.) If you're having trouble coming up with a superpower, this is a good source.

It was the most stern warning Alexis had ever received from an instructor, after she had regained her mind following the weeks after making the contract. When they realized that the demon she housed in her soul was not the truly dangerous one here. There was a terrible violence within her that they hoped to temper, to eventually purge and bring her back to the side of humanity she claimed to fight for, because she walks a very fine line and creeps ever closer to falling off the edge.

Naturally, Alexis does not listen, and she had stepped into that abyss the moment she named the demon Sarrum. But she keeps her excursions subtle, and generally, no one is left who is able to tell of the beast that stalks the night and attacks from nowhere.

It's on one such night where she dons a hood and goes hunting that she comes upon one who is perhaps the farthest from human as one can be, judging from that aura. It's something that should not exist, and so, she will rectify that.

Keeping her distance, and believing herself to be in shadows, she strikes; giant phantom claws aiming for the red demon's back.]

The Boss is renowned for being next to indestructible. She made a good chunk of the funding for her street gang's start up from insurance fraud this way. She also has the strength of a professional heavyweight wrestler despite her smallish frame, and, most notoriously of all, any weapon in her hands seems to never need to be reloaded. THE X GENE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. IT DOESN'T HAVE TO MAKE SENSE.]
