Maybe people just figure hundreds of years of practice at love making makes vampires really, really good at it. When a vampire is hungry and isn't quite so decent or hard up as to lower himself to only buying blood at the butcher's or trapping and draining small animals instead, their dietary supplement of preference is human blood. Open to AUing him as either or! If he's the vampire, I can see him as someone newly turned and still hesitant to drink blood. In that case, he'll either snap from hunger then apologize and take care of his victim and their wounds or, if the assumed CR is you're close friends (or more! gen and shipping are loved equally here.) and he trusts you, he might ask. If he's the victim, I can see him being willing in either a morbidly curious way or a helpful way if you're someone he thinks won't needlessly hurt him. Otherwise, he's likely unwilling.
