(possible) SCENARIOS 1. PARENT & CHILD: So, have you been bad? You know what happens to bad kids... 2. it's obvious nei's talented; siegfried doesn't need to have his full eyesight back to know that she's strong and a formidable opponent in her own right, able to pick things up quickly with minimal instruction. he's trained all manner of knights back in the day, but rarely has he ever trained one who possessed the same drive and determination she has. whether it be based purely on of her own desire to be praised or something deeper, he can't be sure, but there's a satisfaction in crossing swords with someone who, while unable to meet him in raw strength, is able to meet him in skill and technique.
and so it's no surprise when she eventually executes it flawlessly, slipping under his guard and knocking him onto his back just like he showed her. she has one knee pressed against his sternum and the edge of her training sword pressing against his throat, but siegfried's smile only grows as he catches his breath, proud and satisfied. ]
( it's always satisfying sparring with him. there's plenty to learn, and it's inevitable that her opponents would lean mostly towards the larger and stronger when she's got the physique that she does. she has to parry and deflect more because blocking a strike from him outright might just snap her sword in half, and if she were any more lax with her stances he'd assuredly knock her off balance. he's an experienced fighter and she's not going to take it easy just because he can't see as well as she does. that'd be doing him a disservice.

and rewarded for it when he finally falls, which quickly breaks her look of concentration to that of smug satisfaction and giddy self-assurance, because why wouldn't she preen if someone with the breadth of fighting knowledge like he does praises her? )
