Yes yes, Sebastian is horrible because he did not give thorny flower to Ashley during initial mating ceremony, and Aaron needs to win because he is sweetest, most handsome. We have been over this. [He waves a dismissive hand.] I still do not understand why they do not unleash predator monsters onto island. Word 'survivor' is in title, but there is very little happening to be making this a challenge. Oh nooo, they have to pitch their own tent, how dangerous.

People dying wouldn't make for good TV, now would it, Jumba?
...Wait, it might to you...
But regardless, that would ruin the bachelor part! How is anyone supposed to strike up a romance while running in fear? It would ruin the appeal of the show. There's supposed to be a balance!

If you ask me, romance forged in fires of fear and life-threatening situation is far more interesting to watch. But if they insist on being boring about it, they need to be changing the title. It is false advertising! [He raises a hand to his chin, mulling it over.] It can be... Beach Bachelor Boring and Mundane Challenges.

[If so, he just might start paying more attention to the show again in hopes of a shark attack.]

[Pleakley waves his arms around.]
They're not going to show people dying for real on television!

Then it is not a survivor tale, yes? They are not in any real danger.

You just have no understanding of quality Earth television. The "Survivor" part of the title builds tension, but not too much tension for humans to handle!

Physical endurance may be improved through genetic factors, that is true. But courage and mental ability to process difficulty is determined by personality, which is shaped by external factors such as environment. However, family often is sharing environment, so... Yes! It is family thing!

I don't think personality is always determined by external factors. There are plenty of people out there who are nothing like people they shared an environment with growing up.
no subject
Correct! Some go in opposite direction while growing up because they do not want to be like people they shared environment with. Or because people they shared environment with will not let them have same personality traits. The molding of individuality is a truly fascinating field.

[Pleakley is very much thinking about himself and his family here. He's nothing like the rest of them, he's always been nothing like the rest of them, and there's no discernible reason why.]

[How has this turned into a philosophical debate? Who knows. Pleakley's certainly not going to speak against Jumba about nuture being important, though! Because it clearly is very important!
...However, he does have one thing to say.]
...The little monster is hardly natural.

Ha ha! Perhaps I should be saying biology then. Nurture versus genetic coding!
