[Habits and thoughts of other people can rub off, yes. However, to change - or perhaps better to say, to keep those changes - will depends on the person, whether a need to or want to and the effort they put in. Of course, considering him, does he mean a physical or mental change, or something else?]

Things keep going wrong for me and I gotta figure out if it's me or everybody else! I'm still hopeful it's everyone else.

['Immaculate vibes' is one way to put it. Otherwise, just others calling her 'mother' for various reasons. Besides, offering help is just something she likes to do. Even beings like Bill need it from time to time.]

[There's going to be a lot to unpack, isn't there? But, she has time... they may as well begin from the 'beginning'.]

[ Time to speedrun villainous origin story, any-percent complete. Bill makes a throat clearing noise and sits zazen in the air, assembling the components for Amaterasu. ]

I was pretty young when I realized time and space were fake. Put a real strain on my relationships. Anything I said was too weird, so I started lying almost constantly, until I forgot how to tell the truth. Finally met somebody who might be able to see the real me, but at first, he just wanted the godly version, which, hey, I get it. I'd like the godly version of myself, too, instead of [ Bill gestures up and down at himself. ] This hot mess, know what I mean? I disappointed him! Multiple times. Then I laid hands on the powers of matter, space, and time, and I thought, hey, this is it! I got everything I ever wanted, we're doing reality my way now, and you're the ones who have to smile nervously and pretend everything's okay for a change!

And I hated it! Woof Queen, I hated it so much! I had to fix my things when they got broken! I had to imprison people when they got bitey! The one guy I was impressed with rejected my offer to make him a god too, instantly! Didn't even pretend to think about it.

The problem is being honest didn't work. Lying didn't work. What else is there?
