[ Bleeding heart... Clive's mouth twitches a little bit, almost into a smile at the accusation. Yes, it's true, but he's known where most of the people in his service have stood. They've always been human, through and through. Zack has always been something... more.

Clive leans in, feeling the weight of what might be about to happen pulling him into this sort of tender, dark space. He rests his forehead against Zack's.

He has flashes of old memory of when he became a vampire himself. There's always a kind of intimacy in it.

You're still a hero. [ But then Clive begins to move quickly. He doesn't see the sense in making a new wound on Zack's person, so he moves fluidly like a beast and finds the wound in Zack's torso. He needs Zack's blood in him first, before he can offer his own to make the change.

His nostrils flare as he smells the traces of the vampire that caused his wound, and a growl rumbles in his chest - pure instinct.

Clive. [ It's Gav, bringing him back to himself from his rage, and he laps at the wound in Zack's side. His saliva would drive the numbness his initial dose of blood caused to something like euphoria as it works its way through Zack's system. Clive cleans the ragged wound with his tongue. It's quick work that only seems to stretch out into minutes.

He finally breaks away from the wound, having had enough of Zack's blood that his own would be sufficient to induce the change. Clive bites down into his wrist and rips away at it with his teeth, ruthlessly enough that the wound won't close so quickly. It's the sacrifice a sire should make for their fledgling-to-be.

He presses the wound towards Zack's lips.

I'll be here. It's okay to be scared, but I'll be here through all of it.
