sunday texting

You’ve got your TFLN, you’ve got your sexting, now here’s the meme for all those gen texts, phone calls, voicemails, pictures of your cats, and whatever else your little heart can come up with, because who doesn't like a little old fashioned friendly texting. (Or enemy texting, if that's more your bag.)
instructions: What it says on the tin! Leave a comment with your character, include preferences, a start, absolutely nothing or whatever you want. Run around and reply to others. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Never think it's too much pressure to live up to?
Not a hero name, but I've got a mutant name. Polaris.
no subject
Nah. This is something I've been hoping for and working toward for years, besides I do my best under pressure. Hasn't killed me yet.
That's dope, actually. Polaris. Did you get to choose it?
no subject
Yeah? Why'd you want it that bad?
Thanks. I did, we all pick our own. Some people even end up prefering it
no subject
Because I want to make a difference, I want to help people. Might sound simple, and it kinda is. I've always wanted to be that person though, that people can count on like that.
Do you prefer it? Should I call you that instead?
no subject
I don't think it sounds simple at all, but it is admirable of you. Rare to find people that really mean that sort of thing.
Sometimes I do. Sometimes I don't. You can stick with Lorna for now..
no subject
I'm glad you think so.
Lorna it is. If you ever change your mind, just let me know. I think it's really cool that you get to choose your name. I don't know what it's like being a mutant, I'm just a normal no-special-powers kinda guy but I think what you can do is pretty amazing.
no subject
Maybe if we're ever out fighting something together I'll tell you to call me Polaris and I can call you Falcon.
Not too many humans think that so, thanks. Appreciate hearing that. I happen to think my powers are pretty amazing too.
no subject
Gotcha. It'll be like call signs.
What's the typical human reaction when you tell someone you've got powers?
no subject
ha yeah, guess it would be something like that
Ranges from paranoid fear to immediate hate and disgust usually. Mixed with a lot of threats to call the government to take us in immediately just for using our powers to do anything.
Even if that anything is just opening a door while my hands are full
no subject
Really? That's lame. Unfortunately people can be like that, especially when confronted with something they don't understand. Sorry you have to deal with that, though.
no subject
Lame's one way to describe it. You mean people can really suck?
Thanks. Maybe it'll change one day.
no subject
[ She'll just have to imagine the Jeff Goldblum impression because he'd definitely do it. ]
If you haven't seen Bad Boys 2, I'd recommend getting a little, or maybe a lot drunk beforehand. It really enhances the experience.
People can really suck, yeah. I hope it does change one day though.
no subject
Sounds like I've got a plan for an upcoming Friday night.
Damn that sounded lame.
no subject
That's not lame at all, that's a good plan. If you want company, let me know. I promise not to quote the lines out loud, just in my head.
no subject
I'll take some company, but only if you agree to say the lines out loud.
no subject
Oh you are going to regret that about fifteen minutes in, don't say I didn't warn you.
no subject
We'll see. You might be surprised by what I find endearing.
no subject
I'm already surprised, in a good way. It's a very quotable movie, so hopefully you come away from the experience with new ways to annoy your friends.
no subject
I'm full of surprises. I'll happily take things to annoy a few friends with. Think quoting it will annoy a teenage boy?
no subject
That depends on if he's already seen it or likes those kind of movies. If not, yeah it'll definitely annoy him. Have you got a younger brother?
[ Is the natural question that comes out before he realizes he might be prying. But like usual, his thoughts are vocalized before he thinks sometimes. ]
no subject
Figure I owe him trying to be a real older sister that annoys him.
no subject
Well if you wanna really sell the annoying older sibling thing I think that's a good place to start. Also telling him what to do, in general, teenagers love that.
[ They do not. ]
no subject
Ha. I see what you're doing there. I was a teenager once. Nobody could tell me what to do without me doing the opposite
