[Another thoughtful pause, considering. Toying with her fingers while she looks inward for the answer.] I feel as though I am meant for something great, but what that is I haven't discovered yet.

You are already greater than anything in this world, girl. Do not let yourself be limited.

How did you find it? What you were meant for, I mean. If you've found it, yet.

[There's something in that statement that tugs at Mary's heart, and she reaches out to the other woman, perhaps to take her hand, or to touch her face. But at the last moment she lets her hand drop, expression nervous.]

I am sorry a man made you feel meaningless. You are very wise, and clearly meant for more than what he allowed.

[ The aborted gesture translates to her like the whispers of the wind and the songs of the stars, she understands it on a fundamental level. Eyes narrowing, she steps closer, looking at the other woman who is meant for more than the world and who, in the wake of it, will be left as much of an empty husk as Lilith herself is. ]

Do you want to know what for you are meant, girl?

[She watches her new companion with wide, star filled eyes. Something about this woman draws her in, curls something warm in her chest. There is trust there, and curiosity.]

[ Reaching out slowly, she tips Mary's chin upwards with just one finger, ensuring they're looking each other straight in the eye. ]

You do not know yourself well enough. You are meant to know every cavity and curve of your being, only then can you know what road to walk.

That's a lovely ideal.

The gratification is rarely immediate, but many will see it in themselves if you show them it is possible.

I think it's especially true for people who have grown accustomed to only being seen as bad--and to seeing themselves as the same. Let them know you know they can do better, and most people will strive to.
