Is that a challenge? I’m sure I could get more boring if so.

[ There. Now he doesn’t look like he’s reading into it.

Jon has cast a disdainful look at his book so he doesn’t watch the typing bubble appear and disappear. Romance is fine and all, actual romance. Not this schlocky tom foolery and honestly he wants to lament it, really he does. ‘They’re not even friends, Martin. How on earth do these stupid characters think they can be in a romantic relationship when they hardly even like each other?’ but that cuts a little too close to his real issues with relationships and he’s just not good at talking about it. ]

Well it’s worth a read, if only for the impressive world building.
Some elements are less than satisfactory but it was a product of its time anyway and I think viewed through that lens it can be ignored if not forgiven.

[ No details on the dragon mating, Jon tended to skim those parts and then pretend they didn’t happen. ]

So like a book club but it’s just us. I could get behind that.

And it isn’t that I don’t like to sleep, I like it plenty, sometimes I just can’t.

[ Like the off switch in his brain is faulty and no matter how many times he pushes on it he just can’t switch off and knock out. ]
