We were good. We were solid. Until I became Captain America. It was stressful and then I just totally fucked it all up. The baby... we were trying to get our spark back. It didn't work.

I can imagine, with your fall from grace being all over the news. Was she... embarrassed or ashamed? Of being seen with you.

Or was it more like... you knew you were. Too messed up now. To be around somebody that deserved better? [because that's why she ended up using the blip as an opportunity to leave Bill.]

Not sure how anyone gets ready for something like that. The thought of it terrifies me, really. Having something that depends on me. Something that small and delicate and helpless and having to care for it. [when taking care of herself is already an exhausting fucking task. how is she meant to have the emotional capacity for anything else?]
