Yeah, ok- I like this one better.

Bob is... he's nice. He's easy to talk to. I wasn't sure how we'd get along at first, but we have a lot more in common than I thought, so maybe that's what makes it easier to talk to him. I don't feel out of place with him- I hope he doesn't feel out of place with me either.

And you can tell me if I'm being out of line for saying this, but- maybe hearing all those other things would help you get to know her better. Even if it's just through other people's memories. But memories.... they're a very powerful thing.
