What's something you missed out on in your childhood, that you'd still want to do?

That I would still want to do, hmm, that's a very good question. That is... difficult to say. I don't feel the desire to go back and experience things like a high school dance or a graduation, those things belong to some other version of me.

So I guess... feel safe. That is the only answer I can think of.

[it's a sentiment she can relate to, having a whole chunk of your life missing, the sort of thing you can't go back and repeat.

and she knows what it's like, to feel so unsafe and taken advantage of in those years you're the most vulnerable. she's done everything possible in her own life to make up for that. to guard herself, at the expense of everything else.

but this isn't about her own tendency to withdraw from the rest of the world just for a sense of security. she just nods.] Hope you do a bit more now, at least.
