[Maria and Vi live together. It's a funny thing - as much material reality Maria talks, she's still a bit of an idealist. Her dresses are still long and pink, she still brushes out her hair. She sticks out, in these parts, it's clear she's come from - somewhere else, to put it delicately. Her looks aren't right, and her attitude isn't right. She thinks better things are worth fighting for.

So maybe it's no surprise she's wound up crashing in such a tiny apartment with Vi - Maria vanishes for days at a time. But she always comes back. She's probably stirring trouble. She talks too much to be doing anything else.

But right now, she is back at the apartment. And so - ]
