Only 3 choices

FUCK*, MARRY, OR KILL
a game with a twist

You know the game: now, let’s dabble in a version that’s a little bit unusual.

how to play
○ Do the comment do.
○ Folks line up to say whether they would fuck* (*kiss, if your character's underage or you're not into R-rated dialogue), marry, or kill your guy.
○ Rinse. Repeat. ♾️

[Cue the grin.]

Well, no one's making you, are they?
imnotarrogant: (Frown)

[personal profile] imnotarrogant 2025-05-20 08:21 pm (UTC)(link)
True. Unless someone will punish me for not playing along with the game. [Is there consequences for not participating in a meme? He doesn't know.] No offense and all, but I'm straight and a doctor so I'd chose neither of the options. Where's the choice for "hanging out"?
medicalling: (Oh? 2)

[personal profile] medicalling 2025-05-20 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
[The meme gods know.]

Well, straight or not, out of the list, I'd say you should either throw me off a cliff, or marry me. Plenty of marriages have dead bedrooms. I'll just have to sit and suffer in silence as you find your needs elsewhere.

[He gave a fake sniffle, rubbing at a fake tear under his eyes.]
imnotarrogant: (Doubt that)

[personal profile] imnotarrogant 2025-05-20 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
When I was a kid playing this game, marriage meant you'd never have sex with the other. Just be "together" with them forever. I'd not throw you off any cliffs though. It goes against my oath. Marriage it's then.

You played this game as a child? Ach, the things kids get up to these days. Though, I suppose it's better than some of the other childhood games I've seen.

[Such as the origin of Ring-around-the-Rosie, or Cowboys and Indians. Not exactly appropriate to play nowadays.]

Well then, I'll be sure to make sure we have clean linens.

[Ignore any pixies that show up, Will.]
imnotarrogant: (Oh?)

[personal profile] imnotarrogant 2025-05-20 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)
You didn't? Now, it was called kiss, marry, throw off a cliff back then. More PG.

[Or seven minutes in heaven.]

Make sure they're sterile. Y'know, hospital regulations and all. [He smiles a little.]

[Is that an euphemism?]

Ah, no. My childhood was a little different than most of yours, I think.

[Oh, he had games. But his involved making flowers catch slow pixies or talking to nymphs and wood sprites about the forest. Fae children weren't as plentiful as human ones, so he didn't quite have as many playmates as a human child would. At least, not sidhe ones. Brownies and pixies made for excellent playmates.]

I'll make sure they're silk. I'm a bit indolent in what I use in my free time.

[Unfortunately, no. Any time Rowan settled in one place for long enough to have a presence, wild fae that still lived out of Underhill tended to find him. The joys of living with sidhe royalty.]

Everyone has their story.

[Yeah, Will grew up in a blue collar family and as a devout Catholic. He spend much of his childhood in church. He'd probably have some difficulty grasping pixies and nymphs.]

Silk? Fancy.

[personal profile] medicalling 2025-05-20 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Worthwhile. There's nothing quite like having a long double, triple, or even quadruple shift at the hospital and then coming home and crawling in between silk sheets. It's a small thing, for true, but it's a comfort you get when sleeping that makes it drag less on you.

[Welcome to the land of fae, Will. Marry a fae prince and deal with all the problems that come with it. Including pixies doing your laundry.]
imnotarrogant: (Good mood)

[personal profile] imnotarrogant 2025-05-20 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I probably wouldn't be able to get up in the morning.

[This arrangement is actually sounding better than he would have expected.]

Autobrew tea pots, or in your case, coffeemakers, make it a little more likely than not that I'll manage to crawl out of bed. And a good shower. Plus, if we don't make it in, then it's chaos, and I bet you can live with that as much as I can.
imnotarrogant: (Yeah)

[personal profile] imnotarrogant 2025-05-20 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, isn't that true... being Attending Physician at ER is hard work.

Hard, and yet rewarding. Even on the bad days, there's some glimmer of something that comes from it that makes it worth the pain and stress, aye?
imnotarrogant: (Default)

[personal profile] imnotarrogant 2025-05-21 12:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I can't but agree. Being able to help people on their worst day is rewarding.

And that's what keeps the medical profession alive and thriving.

Let's hope that. There seems to be less residents every year.

Burnout's a true thing. More so after a worldwide epidemic. You should have seen the lack of medical bodies after the Spanish Flu.

[... Not that he had. He totally had]

That much pain just wears away at any goodwill. But the next generation tends to be hardier for it. Capable of handling more.
imnotarrogant: (Curious)

[personal profile] imnotarrogant 2025-05-24 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
[He's have expected something closer to these days. Like the Covid pandemic. Not the Spanish Flu. His eyebrows is raised at that comment.]

I know about burnout. God knows I do. What I'm talking about is the interest for the profession is declining. People wants to be content creators and "influences" these days. They're also getting dumber and lazier for every year. [As the son of a blue collar worker, maybe some of his bias is showing through.]

I recuse myself from making statements about the youth of today.

[Every one of them was a youth to him. And he'd seen the pros and cons of the new age in a variety of angles.]
imnotarrogant: (Oh?)

[personal profile] imnotarrogant 2025-05-24 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Not cool. Then who am I supposed to rage to about "kids these days"? [Will responds in jest.]
medicalling: (Pleased 1)

[personal profile] medicalling 2025-05-24 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I'll listen and nod along accordingly.

[He raises his fist and shakes it.]

Youth.
imnotarrogant: (Working)

[personal profile] imnotarrogant 2025-05-24 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
[That earns him a chuckle.] Thanks for indulging me.
