Can you only use the power with the physical change?

That's right. I think I might be a little more durable naturally now, but everything else I need to transform.

On the plus side, people that aren't familiar with the alien or supernatural don't even see the change.

Even then, my buddy Jiji shares a body with a spirit that wanted to destroy the world. So it'd be a pretty high bar.

We've never wanted that. [ Conquering small areas maybe. Taking a few souls. But she can't say it's gone as far as destroy the entire world.

Probably a good thing.

She frowns for a moment and then closes her eyes. When she slowly reopens them they're glowing and fully golden. Her skin takes on a greyish tone and her features all shift into the demonic. Horns, goat legs, red tail, the whole works. ]

[We, so there was someone else in there? She'll ask about it later. Aira gets the impression she should give her opinion on the form first.]

Wow! Yeah, I'd say you're still pretty hot. Just in a different way, much more demon-queen.

[There was definitely a time Aira would react negatively to a demon, but she accepts it all fairly casually.]

People really don't like this form? I get people who don't know the supernatural is real, but even people that have been around this stuff before?

[ She looks up at Aira with big yellow eyes that hold a flicker of confusion. Definitely not the normal sort of reaction she gets and that's surprising.

Still, she's not comfortable to test the waters too long and stay in this form. So, she shifts back as quickly as she can to her normal form. Shame runs deep. ]

Nobody likes it, least of all me. There's a lot of bad memories tied to it for everyone.
