Alicia back with them. Traumatized, for certain, by what those people did to her. He sees that she both wants to be close to them, but needs time to be alone - to think, to process, to recover.

She's returned to the manor. Their manor. Back to her room.

He wonders if she feels as her counterpart did. "If only she hadn't trusted them, this wouldn't have happened." Verso felt it when he was captured decades before. But he also - he also understood their reasons and fear.

Even so, even if he can sympathize, they had no right to take their misguided grief and anger out on his sister.

Verso wonders if they did the same to Clea. Where had she gone? Was she erased from the canvas? He knows he could probably ask Renoir but he doesn't have the courage to do so. If he knows he did something to her, he can't be certain what he will do.

He pulls himself out of his thoughts; he pulls back into himself.

Exhales a breath he didn't even know he was holding, he shifts and looks at Renoir. His throat clenches and his eyes shift involuntarily side-to-side. He feels something like guilt when he looks at his father, but also something so pained that he can't name it.

Yet again, they're on each other's sides, but it feels also like a break is coming. ]

[ Jason knows how these things go.

He's never invited to the party and he doesn't really care. He didn't want to go in the first place. But that doesn't mean he doesn't keep tabs on the other Bats. If only so he can keep his movements and what he's up to out of sight. The last thing he'd need were these boy scouts butting in where they were definitely, absolutely not wanted.

But, it's absolutely fine when he butts in where he may not be wanted. It's not his fault though. It's not his fault he noticed first when Tim dropped out of communication with the others. It's not his fault he was able to pick up the trail from Tim's last known location and follow the clues to the shitty apartment block he's being held in. It only took a few tries before he finds the right window to peer into where he sees Tim restrained. Part of him wants to leave him in there. It's only fair, right? Let Bruce suffer and all that.

And yet, there's a sense of indignation at the thought of someone else putting their hands on Tim. If anyone's going to restrain the replacement, it's going to be Jason. He could leave him, but he decides not to. There are no obvious traps on the window but Jason still takes his time opening it and peering inside. Then he whistles that stupid little bird call. ]
