Grooming is an important part of many species' rituals. It keeps them clean, healthy, and content. And a good bath? It can change the whole tone of a day from terrible to relaxed and blissful. But nudity is sometimes viewed as a weakness - and it is almost always sexualized - so bathing is often kept a private matter. If you do share these moments with someone, they're almost always a significant other or a sexual partner. Like you're doing now. Whether it be after a battle or after sex (or before sex, even), the two of you are going to get clean. Be sure to help each other out with that, won't you? After all, there are places on the back that just can't be reached... [ Sam feels like a truck ran over him at the end of a mission even on the best of days. This suit is amazing, and the vibranium wing pack isn't nearly as heavy as his old thrusters used to be - but there's still weight he's lobbing around, both on his back and in the suit itself. And that's not to mention the shield itself. It feels poetic, perhaps, that the weight Steve Rogers could carry without tiring physically is a burden that weighs on Sam Wilson so much more heavily.

So at the end of a long day, Sam's often exhausted as is. Add a mission spanning multiple days and way too many time zones crossed, and part of him just wants to collapse into a corner and not exist for a while.

The office that he likes to refer to as the 'Cap Cave' doubles as Sam's living space these days, and he's honestly thankful as shit that Joaquin's offered to write up the mission report downstairs so Sam can start unwinding the tightness coiled in his body a little earlier - and offer he rarely accepts, feeling like he shouldn't leave Joaquin holding the ball on his behalf, but occasionally he will allow himself the luxury. They're beholden to nothing and nobody but themselves, but Sam runs their op like the Avengers were running themselves when he was part of them, too. So he sets up Redwing to upload the mission data for Joaquin, and makes his way upstairs.

Sam gets the grime and some dried blood off his body in the shower first, letting the hot spray beat on his tense, worn down muscles. Afterwards, he draws a bath. So sue him - it feels necessary, and he can't help but groan as he sinks into the hot water. He allows himself the soak - isn't sure how long he's in the tub, surrounded by hot steam and nicely scented bubbles, when he hears the bathroom door open. He doesn't have to open his eyes to know Joaquin's taking in the sight. ]

There's someone in Tim's safehouse. He'll know immediately because his alarms will have gone off. Bruce didn't have the capacity or wherewithal to deal with them as he stumbled in off the street, bleeding, and slunk into Tim's place, shedding clothing as he went until he was nude.

The shower normally would do, but the bath was drawn instead. Tim had some of the epsom salts he liked - the ones Dick paid a fortune for and kept giving for Christmas gifts - and Bruce's bones needed the rest. He took up most of the room in the tub as he got in, some excess water sloshing out over the sides as he sank down and groaned, submerging his tired, aching muscles and closing his eyes for one brief, ecstatic moment of reprieve.

A random turn in line up had Kuro and Raev's new band playing the same venue. It wasn't the usual but Tom had a point with the newer bands needing more gigs to get out there. Raev had come off stage and stood in the wings to listen to Kuro and watch as much as he could of the set.

After performing in leather and then standing stage side for almost an hour he felt gross. Thankfully, this place had showers. Though this place wasn't the most accessible. It was too dark for Raev, though anyone else could see fine. Raev had directions Jake who was breaking things down and headed for the showers only to bump headlong into Dee's chair, the black stage outfit and chair might as well have been invisible. Then he was stumbling to trip over the huge lip to get into the showers. As he went down, barely managing to catch himself, he understood why Dee was swearing under his breath. These showers were not helpful to either of them.

"Dee?" Raev was crawling out of the shower and trying to get his feet again.
