Ava, though? She's almost impossible to figure out in this way. It's not like she has to walk or use doors, if she doesn't want to. The quickest way between two points is straight ahead and if she can get there quicker than anyone who has the unfortunate need to do that, well. Sucks to be them, right?
It started as simply learning everyone's habits; the PTSD from her time during The Red Room gave her plenty of hyperawareness of all those little things. But Ava gave her a challenge and Yelena like few things more than that.
So it quickly became a game that Yelena would try to catch Ava, and Ava would try to catch her off-guard and spook her. It's been going on for weeks now, everyone's grown used to the random moments when Yelena might reach somewhere near them, only for everyone to hear Ava's laugh from somewhere else in the tower.
At the moment, Yelena is making her way to the kitchen to find something to eat. One thing she has figured out is that there is a tiny shift in the air in the room when Ava is in it, and phased out of sight. The feeling is subtle enough to be very easy to miss if she isn't focusing on it, though.

Which makes lurking around invisible all the more convenient. Though others have accused her of such, she isn't going out of her way to spy on any of them. That doesn't mean she doesn't occasionally overhear or see certain things they probably wouldn't have wanted her to otherwise. But Ava is good at secrets. Or at least holding onto them until they're more advantageous.
The only one that truly seems to pick up on her presence when she's trying to evade detection is Yelena. And anyone else she might find it slightly irritating... with the other woman it becomes a bit of a fun challenge. Seeing just how close she can get before Yelena snatches out at thin air, leaving Ava lightly giggling as she escapes once more.
She had been boiling a kettle for late night tea, before the sound of Yelena padding down the hallway and entering the communal space has Ava vanishing once more. Leaving the empty cup with a single chamomile tea bag sitting on the counter as evidence.
But the unbrewed chamomile isn't the only floral scent lingering in the air. Ava's hair is so slightly damp from being freshly washed, and perhaps the new shampoo line she's been sponsoring is a bit more perfumed than she's used to. She sits atop one of the opposite counters, watching with amusement as Yelena takes in the scene.

It's that swivel of her head that allows her to catch the soft scent of something sweet, floral. "I know you're in here, Ghostie." She spins slowly on her heel, a smirk curling across her lips. "I like your new shampoo."

Because this is what people must mean when they refer to 'nose blind.' With the scent of roses or whatever they are constantly around, Ava hadn't even noticed that she still reeked of it.
"Kérastase," she remarks, a brief flicker of movement before she takes to another corner of the kitchen.
She could just leave the kitchen entirely, but...

Jesse Pinkman | Breaking Bad | OTA
Are you serious right now?! [ Jesse shouts to nobody in particular, already regretting every life choice that led to this moment. He's in a dead sprint, sneakers slapping the cracked pavement as he vaults over a tipped-over shopping cart and narrowly misses faceplanting into a pile of garbage bags. Behind him, a dog barks with murderous intent. This isn't your average scruffy mutt, either. This thing's a goddamned unit. Its nails scrape the asphalt like talons, breath coming in heavy, animalistic huffs. ] I swear to God if this is how I go out...
[ This was supposed to be easy. A quick drop-off. In and out. Instead? Once the stash had been handed over, dude unleashed his dog. No payment. Just the demon spawn of Cujo and a linebacker barreling right toward him. Jesse sucks in air like a dying fish, legs burning as he ducks through a hole in a fence to cut across a yard. The dog barrels through right after, splinters flying. ]
Christ, man, what do they feed you, meth?
[ Jesse’s foot catches on something and he goes down hard, slamming shoulder-first into the ground with a sharp grunt. He scrambles, palms scraping against the rough concrete as he crab-crawls backward, trying to get enough distance to haul himself up. But it's too late. The dog's already closing in; teeth bared, breath hot and reeking of something Jesse really doesn't want to think about. It lets out a low growl that vibrates straight through his ribcage. ]
Okay, okay, truce! [ He throws his hands up, laughing nervously, but looking more like he wants to cry. ] Dude, I’m not even mad. You win, okay? You’re the big dog. Alpha, king of the fuckin' streets. Mad respect.
[ The dog growls low. Jesse barely breathes, squeezing his eyes shut tightly. If this is how it all ends, he doesn't want to see it coming. A little help would be nice. ]
