holy crap it wasn't that hot out last week. Now suddenly the mercury's skyrocketing and you have to find some way to beat the heat

To help cool him off, he got up from his seat, which would hopefully not be stolen when he got back, and went to the bar, hoping to find something to eat. The line was long, but he didn't care. The wait was worth for a cool drink, or maybe even some ice cream.]

[The little blonde began to fidget with the silken strings of her bonnet, finally tying them firmly and pulling the flowered bonnet they belonged to over her head to block out the sudden--- heat? Hm, that's rather odd for Candle Cove. Even in the height of summer, the sun rarely ever shone so bright and the temperatures rarely ever got so high. Perhaps Janice hadn't been in her hometown anymore, which was odd seeing as it was a long voyage to any of the other districts of Elinsoir. She had been lost for quite some time, yes, but winding up in other districts wasn't a simple walk through the forest, or at least she thought so. The sensible thing her mind decided on was that there was a sudden change in the weather (either that or she was in the "in between" lands). Before her was a field of tall grass with wildflowers and weeds growing untamed somewhere in the midst. Janice's eyes were sensitive to the light, so it was a bit of a disadvantage to wander into a place where shade was scarce, but she supposed it would be worth it. For her Candle Cove was more cobblestone, piers, sands, and misty seas than greenery aside from the wood not too far away from where she lived. And besides, she had her wide-brimmed bonnet to keep the sun from her eyes. Being in the field was like being back in the courtyard and the gardens of Gullington Port when her sister had still been alive and she had still been a duchess. It drew a sort of wistful melancholy closer to her heart, but she couldn't bring herself to stop imagining- closing her eyes and reaching out to feel the grass and the plants on her fingertips, as she glided through the field. Her peaceful state was disrupted as she heard a sudden rustle in the distance, raising her guard.]

[ 'Home' may not exist physically, but for all of them, each other is home. More or less. That is the kind of thing Mikasa was always spouting off, anyway, (sort of) and he'd accept it. Still, this is not how he wanted to spend such a hot day. Of course, he's determined to train and be at the ready, but he is sweating like a pig today and he's starting to turn pink like one, too. He's taken refuge under his cloak, holding it up over his head in a tiring position, trying to keep it off his sticky back.

He's made some attempt to tuck himself away so no one teases him about 'laziness' when he's melting into the dirt, right now, but he can't go too far, all things considered. ]

Technically it was morning, but Kenny wasn't sure she could call it that since she hadn't slept the night before. Still, the most important thing was that it was hot. It had been hot for weeks now and there didn't seem to be any chance for the weather to let up. Even the nights proved to be hopelessly warm.

If it wasn't a ridiculously implausible idea, Kenny would be spending the rest of the summer in the pool. But, if wishes were bottles of icy water...
