[The change of seasons always sees a party in Zephrah, and as spring finally returns, the celebration goes late into the night. Keyleth never tires of seeing her people happy and taking a well-deserved break from their day to day lives, but there's only so many different kinds of cheeses she can try before she's thinking of better ways to spend her time. They don't need her here.

While the attention is on a performer in the middle of the courtyard, Keyleth slinks over to Vax, hand quietly finding his.]

How does leaving early sound?

[In the dark, he's practically a shadow, anyway. Her? Not so much, but she can do what she wants. Mostly.]

[ If there's one thing Vax can appreciate, it's a party. This might not be as wild as the parties Vox Machina usually has, but it's lively and fun. Although he's a newcomer, the Ashari people have been more than welcoming, especially given the Tempest's attachment to him.

When Keyleth is busy, Vax is pulled away to drink with the men (including her father). They've had more than a few by the time Vax manages to get a quiet moment to himself to lurk and just soak it all in. That's when Keyleth tracks him down and takes his hand. ]

It sounds like you're saving me from passing out. Let's go.

Are you sure you're not having too much fun with my dad?

[She asks with a grin, already leading him off.]

We could stay. I wouldn't want to ruin your bonding.

[ Vax is glad Keyleth is leading him, since he's definitely had a little too much to drink tonight. ]

I think your father went to sleep it off. But weren't you having fun?

[ He could tell how much she enjoyed being around her people. It must feel good to be home after traveling for so long. Plus, she accomplished what she set out to do. Everyone must be incredibly proud of her. ]

I was! I am. Didn't they tell you this goes on into tomorrow? And we do this every season...

[And maybe someone just wants to be with her boyfriend.]

[ It's the first time for Vax, experiencing this festival. A party that goes on all night is something he knows they can handle after traveling with Vox Machina for so long, but he does like the idea of taking a breather and having some alone time with her. ]

If you want to take a break from it, that's fine by me. Where are we going?

[ Did she have a destination in mind? The sounds of the party are starting to fade away, and it's getting darker as they leave the lights of the festival. ]

[Keyleth has no plan other than Away and possibly Private, but certainly less noisy. She gives Vax a grin.]

Depends. How drunk are you?

[ Vax laughs. ]

I can walk. Or fly, if necessary.

Flying might make it too obvious we're making an escape... there's a fish pond you haven't seen yet. I keep meaning to take you there on a date, but there's no reason this can't be one.

[Every day feels like a date, now.]

[ An impromptu date? Vax likes that idea; especially if they're sneaking away at night for it. It's kind of romantic. ]

A romantic fish pond? Lead the way.

Just as long as neither one of us falls in.

[Luckily, she's entirely sober.]

Parties like this kind of makes me miss the others. I always think how much fun they'd be having... and how much louder it would be.

[ But Keyleth might not mind. He's sure some of the Ashari would get a kick out of the groups rowdiness. Maybe not the elders, but possibly some. ]
