The alert for movement in the breach didn't reach all the way down to the science labs, which meant Rhoda didn't know about it until someone called down to tell her. She immediately abandoned her desk, jumping up and running out the door and skittering down the hallway, her heels making quite a racket against the metal floor. Luckily she has some experience with running in heels, because otherwise she'd be forced to take them off and run in her stockings, and that would be ridiculous.

She makes it up to the hangar bay just as Marshal Pentecost is finishing his rousing speech, but she doesn't have the time or emotional energy to pay attention, trying to fight her way through the crowd so she can find Chuck.

She can't let him go without saying goodbye.

[ no one could have predicted it. the world had ended in balls of fire and death (or something like that, it's not as if she cared how) and dahlia was stuck in some medium's body.

it's so empty.

it would be beautiful, if she could only take revenge here. if she could only torture and follow maya fey to the ends of this empty earth, it would be perfect.

but the city is blank, and there's no flash of kurain's ridiculous robes (other than the ones she was forced into, thanks to this body). she walks the streets, her steps echoing blankly as she goes.
