Hunting

You wake up in the middle of an unfamiliar place. You don't know where you are, or how you got there, but there's an unfamiliar sun in the sky and all signs suggest that you're not in Kansas any more. You need to survive; figure out what's going on; and maybe, just maybe, find a way to go home. There's just one problem.
Something is hunting you.
Prompts
1. Consciousness to sarcasm in five seconds. Rise and shine, you've just woken up in the middle of nowhere with no idea how you got there. On the bright side, you're not alone. Get to know your fellow victims contestants. Maybe you can even figure out what the hell is going on.
2. The road to nowhere. Have fun trudging through the woods, empty fields, or an eerie, abandoned town. How long 'til someone notices that it's been daylight for about 48 hours now, or that there's the wrong number of moons in the sky? Maybe you're just in a brand new hemisphere. Fuck. Kiss your worldview goodbye.
3. Cry havoc! The hunters have set their dogs on you. Possibly deformed, alien monstrosity dogs, terrifying, demon hounds, or just plain Jane, tear-your-face-off hunting dogs. Do you run or fight? Work together or leave the others to their fate?
4. On a scale of one to "fucked"-- One of you is injured. Maybe it's fixable, or maybe it's fatal. Does the other choose to stay and help, to leave you for dead, or to put you out of your misery...?
5. Let's hope they last the night. Night has finally fallen. Time to find somewhere to hole up, grab some shuteye, and hope nothing sneaks up on you in the darkness. Sweet dreams.
6. The great escape. Here's your chance - whether by skill or luck, you've found where the hunters have set up camp. Think you've got what it takes to fly an alien ship, to break the curse that's had you running in circles, or maybe just drive this Hills Have Eyes-level crazed killer's stick shift-only beater outta Dodge? Of course that's assuming you live long enough to get there. Maybe you should come up with a plan b, just in case...
7. But you've always been here. Congratulations, you're not dead yet. You've evaded the hunters for long enough that they've apparently assumed you starved, or fell into a swamp, or maybe they've just plain lost interest. And now there's fresh meat on the field - a new batch of game for the hunters. You could help. The question is, will you?
8. Wildcard. Ship with your companion, decide you just gotta bang the hunter to survive? The world is your oyster.

2
What was left of a highway is where Sam wakes. The sagging corpse of a giant machine lays abandoned to his right. What used to be a car is wrapped around a thick pole, a thick layer of dust over it.
Somewhere far off a lone howl breaks the quiet. Something scratches near by. What does he do?]
Re: 2
[Sam wakes up and quickly assesses his situation. He wasn't sure where he was but this wasn't the first time he'd found himself on a dead road.]
Dammit where am I now.
[He carefully approaches the car hoping to find a weapon and supplies.]

On the flickering screen is a city out of a sci-fi Novel. The news report is in a three piece suit sitting to the right of a man who looks like a human being if you ignore the obvious ports in the side of his head and his suit is his torso.
To their left is the picture of a massive wendigo and the right under an unfamiliar logo is a group of humanoid machines moving with speed. The screen flickers and red colored words flash different colors as they scroll across the screen.
‘Warning, you are in a dangerous sector. Please see your way west to the evacuation zone.’ There is a helpful map that pops up with a view of the way via street level.]

Great this is gonna be fun.
[Sam sighs and starts heading west keeping an eye out for any possible weapons or working vehicles. He feels nervous about not having a weapon in hand but fists are at least something.]

A low growl issues from the mouth of an alley ahead of him. Then another and another. More than one Wendigo.
Something hisses to the right. Metal scrapes on stone. Somewhere ahead is the sounds of rapid metal steps. A figure is sprinting but they are too far away to make out their details.]

[Sam whips the rifle up as soon as the first wendigo. He lays down a steady stream of fire watching pleased as each bolt hits.]
I like this gun.....nice and no kickback....things are starting to look up.

Colored glass and bits of metal catch the light. One of the Wendigos leaps from the roof and that figure in the distance has become a person. He looks like any other person on the street. If one ignores the red armor covering him.
He imposes himself between Sam and the leaping creature, arm up. He’s tall with long blonde hair and his arm is a cannon. A low deadly whine builds in the air as he bears his teeth. In a calm voice, Zero says.]
Nice shot. Back me up and we’ll get out of here.

[Sam just glances over, takes in the person beside him and falls into a covering fire position with the ease of having done this for a very long time. He lays down a steady stream of covering fire trying to keep at least one of the monsters in his sights.]
You have the canon I go where you lead buddy.

The changed blast knocks it back into the others as he takes off, making sure Sam is keeping pace with him.] There’s a parking garage two blocks from here. If we get there we’ll get you out of here.
I couldn’t help but notice you seem to know what those things are. [His voice is on the deep side but it lacks what movies always made robots seem to have. His voice is like any other human’s.]
no subject
Yeah....I've hunted wendigos before....baby's first monster when you grow up like I did.
[Sam laser slams one of them to the face]
The fact these aren't shifting means either they don't have enough people to hunt or they can't. They are like cats...they like to play with their food and then frame someone else once they kill.

[He shakes his head and draws an energy blade. He sweeps it out before him, sending a wall of flame at the pursuing Wendigo. It screams and the others behind it scream too.]
That machine that tried to hit you is a roamer. Probably came up from the outskirts. They’re not sentient enough to make their own decisions. Once hit with the virus, they’re mindless murderers.

"This place sounds like a blast," Sam says dryly surprisingly calm for all the chaos around him. "I'm Sam Winchester by the way...nice to meet you."
