[ Normally, Scott McCall has self control. He has no choice when faced with any number of dangers, an ex girlfriend he still has feelings for, and the fact that he's a werewolf. He just has it. But, sometimes, he lets that self control go. It's Stiles' idea to get out and he's there to support his best friend. Stiles wants to go to the gay bar but wants to settle somewhere beforehand, get a few drinks in him and then explore. So, that's originally why he was at the bar where he met Bucky.

Stiles quickly found something else to focus on and Scott met Bucky.

It's not that he thinks he's gay - he's really only ever been with Allison and hadn't had any time since high school to explore anything - he has no real experience. He doesn't really think about sexuality. So, when he has the urge and Bucky's up close, holding a dart out to him (Scott's winning), Scott takes a sip of beer, sets that beer down, fists a part of his shirt, pushing him back into the wall.
